“Fantastic Four” is a bad 2005 movie featuring Marvel Comics’ first family of superheroes. Although the movie features some good casting decisions and updates the horribly dated background of the team, some of the problems with the film are so significant that they drag the whole movie down …

A Mighty heart is a boring movie which I have seen a few days back on a cable channel, by mistake. The movie starring Angelina Jolie, Dan Futterman, Will Patton and Irrfan Khan. The movie was shot mostly in India, though they haven’t shown very much of any place …

I’m not sure about most people, but my holiday season isn’t complete without watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
Of all the Vacation movies starring Chevy Chase, this is the only one that actually has the Griswold family staying home for their vacation. But, the series of unfortunate events that befall …

Sometimes, the unexpected happens when you’re watching a movie. This is the second time I can remember when I thought I was going to watch a sports movie and ended up watching a flick about the human spirit. The first time was when I saw “Brian’s Song” with …

For what it’s worth, biographical dramas are too often hard to pull off. Directors and storytellers need to be cautious with the underlying melodrama that this type of movies usually evokes. The 1985 film “Ladyhawke” was not only a strong dose of fantasy that touches everyone’s inner child and magical yearning for something powerful that can’t possibly be real, as well as beautiful love story that was heartwarming to watch. Mathew Broderick, a very young Mathew Broderick, as well as …

The original film was fantastic. It’s sequel, Dead Mans Chest had potential but seemed, quite …

This is one of Suzuki’s films that is most unlike the major part of his work. The narrative is of the same style as his other films, but here I think he goes much deeper into the personalities of his characters and gives a more moving portrait of human …

Played by one of the most respected comedians in the entertainment industry, Meet Dave is a movie that I would have otherwise been reluctant to watch, as I am not really into blatant fiction, but because of the Eddy Murphy factor, I knew that it would have that comedy …

This film came out shortly after Henry Thomas came to worldwide attention in E.T. Well-cast in this role, this was the type of role best suited for Henry Thomas. He comes across as a kid with a great imagination and this movie blends both creatively.
It is the story of …

This is a most confusing film with Will Smith that combines old western style with a modern kind of tecnique and scenery. The contrast between these to is barely watchable, and regarding Smith’s performance, I don’t think he really fits in this kind of film.
It’s shocking that this was …

The 1985 film “The Goonies” is one that I have now referred to as an “addiction film”. What I mean by that term is simply this, that the film (for reasons unknown) is one that I cannot help but fall in love with. From the cast of misfits who …
