From the moment I saw Avril Lavigne I was an instant fan. Firstly her song complicated spoke to everybody. She was an alternative girl that didn’t fit the mould of the typical Hollywood pop-star.
However now that I see more of Avril in the public eye I am …

This episode of Survivor was a good one. One of the most interesting ones I’ve seen in a long time actually. It started off pretty boring. The two tribes Galu and Foa Foa came into the island via canoe and faced off. Jeff asked them …

Rev. Fr. Enrique N. Balongag is so far the coolest and the most dynamic school president I have ever met and worked with. In my fifteen years of professional life spent in four companies, it is only here at COSCA that I truly find a …

When I first became re-hooked on NASCAR a few years ago, one of the veteran drivers I quickly became aware of was Mark Martin. He was the veteran driver for Roush Racing, and everything I heard was enormously positive. He was a good racer, they said. …

Hands down, Sean Penn may possibly be the best actors around. Despite the “bad-boy” reputation he’s built for himself off camera, it doesn’t take away from the powerful performances he gives in each of his films.
I must admit that even though I’m a HUGE fan of Sean Penn and …

First time I knew Jennifer Weiner is when I read her second book, ” In Her Shoes “, a smart chicklit about two sisters with totally different personality. Then, by knowing that she has another great chicklit, I begin to hunt it, which then becomes my most favorite …

One of the actresses who I have to say that I never really like is the one named Heather Graham. Ever since I first saw her some time in the late 1990s or early 2000s in a movie I didn’t like her, and there has never been a time …

I actually remember when Paula Abdul was considered a good performer, music leader, and choreographer guru. No one talked about strange behavior or anything scandalous, beyond whatever might have happened during her marriage to Emilio Estevez.
She faded somewhat from the limelight, though, until she re-emerged as a judge …

I first noticed Simon Baker after watching a few episodes of the Mentalist; this TV series had interested me due to the NLP, hypnotism and psychic elements. Furthermore, the police engaging the services of a consultant in unconventional approaches to help them in investigations is an eye-opener …

Amy WineHouse, Amy WineHouse, what can I say about her? Not only does this woman have an INCREDIBLY unique voice, but she has her own unique style. Whether it’s her larger-than-life beehive (which I really don’t like but admire the audacity of it!), or her over-the-top eyeliner, I feel …

I first noticed Adam Lambert on the top 12 finalists’ performance on American Idol season 8. In fact, after the 1st season I had never really watched American Idol seriously. I would only watch on and off when I had nothing else to do. I wasn’t …

I have always read about them because to be honest, I love Gwen’s …

Sammi had better watch herself. There is a lot of hoopla about whether Ronnie and Sammi have made up since the Reunion show. Snooki has admitted that the pair stayed broken up for about two hours—”and that they shortly reconciled. But I can say this: …

I grew up listening to the Jackson Five. My brother and I would even go so far as to dance on my mother’s dining room table while listening to their songs. Michael Jackson was the youngest brother of the five and he is the one that would become most …

I was so not into Taraji Henson when I first saw her on screen. The movie was “Baby Boy”—another one of those “Boyz N da Hood” type films wherein the young ‘brother’ is trying to make his way in the world despite the ghetto surroundings of his daily …

There has been so much controversy surrounding Britney Spears. I actually feel bad for her. I feel like it’s not her fault; the paparazzi is annoying and they put her in danger. Then they whine and yell when she rolls over their feet because they are too close to …

If you are an urban 80s baby like me, you grew up in the time of REAL R&B boy groups, constantly hearing the likes of Dru Hill, 112, and Jagged Edge blazing through your speakers and videos being played on repeat on BET, MTV, and the Box. That …

When I returned to watching NASCAR after decades away, one of the new drivers was Carl Edwards. He quickly captured my interest, and I’m still following this talented young man as he progresses in his racing career.

Every once in a while, you’ll have an NFL player come along that is so good at what he does, you would pay money just to watch him play; even if he doesn’t play for your favorite team. The short list of guys included players like Brett Favre, Barry …

I have yet to find another song artist who is quite as diverse as Kid Rock is. He changes the type of music that he sings like many people change socks. That’s a good thing because he has something out there for everyone to listen to. Kid Rock doesn’t …

Paging Doctor Drake, heartbreak!
In the early eighties, Rick Springfield joined the cast of General Hospital and began his climb to pop idol status. The actor/singer claimed he was trying to focus on his acting for a while, and the character of Doctor Noah Drake certainly allowed him to …

I have been watching Glee since the start of it but I am not addicted to it. However, I start watching again after learning that our own singing sensation Charice Pempengco will be on Season 2 so I keep my eyes on it. After that episode titled, Audition, the …

I don’t know why, but I’ve never been a huge Jon Gruden fan. Yes, he took the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Super Bowl in 2002 but I’ve always believed he’s a bit overrated.
I guess the Buccaneers finally figured that out too this week considering they just fired him …

When it was announced Packers cornerback Al Harris could miss the entire season with a spleen injury, many fans started writing off their season.
