Don’t go to the new spy drama “The Good Shepherd” expecting to see Matt Damon pull secret agent type as he does in his “Bourne” thrillers.

Kick-Ass is one of my favourite films to come out of the last couple of years, mainly down to how unique it is and its fascinating analysis of a wannabe superhero.
This superhero is just an ordinary teenager, and the story shows that. You get a good back story to …

After the first two Chipmunk films, I was a little weary of the theme of the Chipmunks and the Chipettes being lost on a desert island. That was the theme for the Alvin and the Chipmunks Chipwrecked released in 2011. The theme of being lost of deserted island has …

I’m always glad when it’s my daughter’s turn to pick a movie because I know I’m usually going to find one that we will all enjoy.
Watching Leroy & Stitch last night is a perfect example.
In what I think is going to be the final sequel to the original Lilo …

After watching this film, I think I understand why this movie did not fare so well at the box office. It’s going to take a strong stomach for the majority of Americans to be “okay” with observing a weathered black man keeping a sexually depraved young white woman on …

There is nothing as scary as J.S. Cardone’s remake of the classic 1980 horror film, Prom Night. A modern scary film that advertised itself as one of the best remakes of our time is about as dull as your real prom. Can the unrated blu-ray version of this film …

The thing about slasher movies is they normally are good if you’re looking for a good laugh or just like watching a lot of blood and gore. But, as far as being scary, most fall well short of expectations.

I enjoy Sandra Bullock movies, because they are generally lighthearted, feel-good romps which also teach a lesson, however cliché, about human nature and kindness. Although she has recently begun to choose roles a little more serious and substantial than her usual romantic comedies, I knew All About Steve would …

The first disk of the Dead Like Me DVD set contains the pilot plus a lot of special features. There were a number of deleted scenes, something that I always love to see. My one complaint is that there were four screens of these deleted scenes and …

If you like romantic comedies this is, in my opinion, the best of the year. Believe it or not, as a fan of all things romantic, I’ve a very low tolerance for the cheese-factor in film scripts. Yep, I still pride myself on being a realist. …
