After his masterpiece The draughtsman’s contract back in the early 1980s, the expectations on Peter Greenaway where enormous on my account. I loved this movie. Jim Carrey proves once again that he has some real talent, not just silly-funny gestures and faces. He plays a movie writer who loses his memory after a car accident and is mistakenly recognized as a missing war hero in a small town. He just …

When my roommate rented this, I was expecting another Eragon, an unoriginal fantasy that rehashes the same elements that we’ve seen before. The fact that this movie was brought to us by the same studio that gave us “Good Burger” did nothing to squelch my fear that we …

The movie, Let’s Talk About Sex, rated R, is actually a movie that is full of bollocks. The title is very suggestive, but there’s no really formal education on that, for inspiring young women wanting to learn at least something about this over-rated topic.
The story is about an …

A friend of mine referred this movie to me because I happen to like independent thrillers. But I found this movie rather unthrilling. The concept was pretty good: a man who has control over luck and fate bestows his gift upon others, but not without great …

Kristin Chenowith stars in this 2009 holiday movie, The 12 Men of Christmas. Chenowith is a refreshing actress. She’s very petite with a petite, off-beat sounding voice. She’s a perky blonde who can both act and sing. When I heard about this new seasonal flick, …
