I have never seen a stand-up comedy movie as funny as this one. I was a little weirded out by the fact that it was a “movie”–and not just a consecutive stand-up routine that was filmed. This movie featured Katt Williams and other comedians. But what …

What is interesting about teen movies is the fact that every time period is associated to a film. Now a days is “High School Musical” period, but in the 80’s they had “Sixteen Candles” which was a smashing hit at the time.
This movie definitely marked the beginning of …

I didn’t know what to think at first about this really quirky film. I knew that starring Evan Rachel Wood in the lead role, there would be something avante garde about the subject matter. IN this movie, she portrays a young high schooler named Kimberly, who ropes …

I am reviewing the 2009 movie, The Proposal, starting Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds, and Betty White.
The plot to this movie is quite simple. Sandra Bullock plays a mean, severely unlikeable boss, who, when threatened with deportation, blackmails her assistant into pretending that they are married. There’s only …

Synopsis: A young mouse and his rat friend swear an oath to help a princess.
What I liked about this movie: While there were quite a few things I didn’t like about this movie (more on that later), I will say the film did have its moments.
For one, Despereaux definitely …

A Clint Eastwood and Tom Hanks joint biopic sounds too good to be true. But it is 2017 now and apparently anything could happen. Back in the beginning of 2016, I greatly waited for this, but when the time it became available in cinemas I told myself to just wait …

The movie the number 23 is a Jim Carrey film but it is very unlike his other films. This is my favorite of his films because he actually acts in it. Normally he over acts and gets a lot of mileage from facial expressions and acting like …

There’ve been a lot of comic book adaptations in recent years, a vast majority of which have been Marvel films. While DC released two Batman films and a Superman film, Marvel released a slew of hit or miss summer blockbusters. One of these was “Ghost Rider”. …

This is one of my favorite movies. The movie is about a less-than-beautiful, frumpy woman looking for love.
Bridget Jones (Renee Zellweger) is a secretary for a publishing company who is in love with her boss (Hugh Grant) who shamelessly flirts with her (and her skirt!). After the pair have …

Director: John Stockwell. Featuring: Paul Walker, Jessica Alba, Scott Caan and Ashley Scott.
Jared (Walker) and Sam (Alba) are a young couple in love (the kind of sweet couple that makes either go “aaw” if you’re a hopeless romantic or makes you want to puke if you’re not ) living …

This movie started the trend of bold character of Bollywood heroines in Hindi film industry. Murder is story about Mallika Sherawat who is playing unfaithful wife. Who is accused of murdering her lover. The film also have Ashmit patel and Imraan Hashmi. The film is basically about extra martial …

This is Quite possibly the funniest movie I have ever seen. The stereotypes one would expect in a movie like this are there and are (in some places) slightly over done, but they do not take away from the movie overall. Rarely does a hilarious movie succesfully carry a …

I am reviewing the new version of Pride and Prejudice that was made in 2006, starring Keira Knightley as Elizabeth and Matthew MacFadyen as Darcy. Others starring included Donald Sutherland and Brenda Blethyn. After watching this version after the A&E version starring Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle, …

I have an affinity for scary movies and am especially fond of the Halloween story. Having grown up watching this series, I was intrigued to learn that Rod Zombie had taken over where John Carpenter and Moustafa Akkad had left off. Being a huge fan of “The …

Scary Movie is one of those movie series where its really hard not to laugh. The only problem with these series is that each sequel ends up repeating jokes, and slowly loses the audience. The big thing with scary movie 4 is that this is not true. The begging …

After seven films of the American Pie series, an average fan would say there is nothing much more to be offered.
Well, I am not a fan, but whatever dissapointments there were with the previous seven if there were some at all, I could …

I watched a movie with a friend, he was so excited about Make it Happen, a movie similar and is actually from the same creators of “Step Up”. Well the movie is really simple, I feel it does need a little more depth in it, I have totally wasted …

I must say that when you have lots of nephews and nieces, you have the excuse of watching kiddie DVD and that I got the chance to watch Cinderella - A Twist In Time. This is something like a sequel to Cinderella and boy does it have lots of …

First of all, I liked this movie. It is not just a typical children’s movie because it really touched my heart. I think there are so many lessons that can be learned from this movie like improving self-confidence, importance of friendship, and believing in talents. The actors are all …

Inglourious Basterds is without a doubt my favourite movie of 2009.
It’s fascinating, thrilling, unique and even has moments of comedy in it all at the same time.
The plot is an interesting one; I like how they took a different approach to things rather than the typical World War 2 …

Oh. My. God. If only I could write this review in caps, I would have wholeheartedly done so just to stress how freaking amazing this movie is.
From someone who watched the likes of Rashomon to My Favorite Martian on a daily rotating basis, I sadly found myself living …

A few months ago, my daughter watched the Veggie Tale movie Minnesota Cuke and the Search for Samson’s Hair Brush. She liked it so much, she wanted me to order it through Netflix for her again.
However, I came across the sequel to that movie, Minnesota Cuke and the Search …

I watched this movie a long time ago, not necessarily because I was actually interested in watching it but, I was waiting at a business place when it happened to be airing on television at the time, so I decied to watch it. The only thing I have to …

The 1989 movie entitled, “She Devil” was not only one that I think many people can relate, but was a fun and entertaining movie that made me laugh out loud countless number of times. This is a movie that was made quite some time ago, so I realize that …

A Bronx Tale with Chazz Palminteri, Robert De Niro, and Lillo Brancato.

Hide and Seek is an intense, well structured, mysterious and frightening movie. I watched this as I was a fan of Dakota Fanning, and found this movie to be spectacular.
Of course, there are many twists and things that confused me a little, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like …

I bought a complete DVD of this 3 part film by Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis (with the help of other producers) with it’s first installment shown in 1985. I never regret buying this stuff because of the entertainment that I get everytime I watch this, time and …

It`s a great movie. It`s a comedy romance and Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet plays really good in it. It takes some people years to fall in love at first sight. A LOT LIKE LOVE is a romantic comedy about destiny, connection and the frequently fuzzy line between chance …

Indian is one of the finest movies in Tamil Cinema. This movie is produced by A.M. Ratnam for his own production unit Sri Surya Movies. The story and screenplay wrote by Shankar. Also he directed the movie. …

There is nothing as scary as J.S. Cardone’s remake of the classic 1980 horror film, Prom Night. A modern scary film that advertised itself as one of the best remakes of our time is about as dull as your real prom. Can the unrated blu-ray version of this film …

In this Bond film (the series was starting to get very long by this time, but the creators kept doing them as they were all successful at the box office) the terrible Jaws makes his second appearance to stop Bond from completing his mission, however, the villain appears a …

When it comes to Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, Conan the Destroyer is always the first one that comes to mind.

In the movie, Conan is …

Sucker Punch was an action fantasy movie about a girl who struggles to get out of a mental institution after she is wrongfully put there by her stepfather after her mother’s death. At times I wondered if she really was going crazy when she would use her fantasies to …

“Notting Hill” is one of my favourite all time romantic comedies. I think I like it so much because it presents a very straight forward story with a nice comic touch in it. Even though this movie is all about Julia Roberts and Hugh Grants acting abilities, it also …

I literally had no interest in this movie when I saw it advertising to be released in theatres. In fact, I just assumed that it would be one of those movies that had one or two A-list actors in it that they promoted a lot, but would have no …

Shortbus is not a movie for everyone. First and foremost, it must be said that this film is extremely explicit, sexually. But it is also an extremely artistic film that depicts the intimate lives of several different types of New York residents. The couples …

SPOILER ALERT! Do not read this review if you haven’t viewed the film and plan on seeing it anytime soon.
Saw this film last week and I thought it was ok. It’s pretty much like all the other hostage taker - negotiator type films before it. Here, John …

The 2nd Batman movie, The Dark Knight, is a great movie. In this movie, Batman/Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) tries to stop the corruption in Gotham. He has help from his on/off again love interest Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal) and his good older friend Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman), who basically …

I have watched the movie ‘Going my way’. The main actor is Bing Crosby. The movie is not so interesting. Crosby plays the role of Father O’Malley. Now this priest has been given an order by the Bishop to go to a particular church to replace the priest over …

“Batman Begins” is an epic 2005 film by Christopher Nolan, and starring Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes, and Gary Oldman. This is a spectacular movie that did much to erase the memory of the horrible Batman movies of the 1990s.
Pros: Nolan obviously loves the …
