  • The 1989 movie entitled, “She Devil” was not only one that I think many people can relate, but was a fun and entertaining movie that made me laugh out loud countless number of times
  • However, I highly recommend that if you are someone who likes comedy, relatable story lines and Rosanne Bar, you should take the time to watch this film
  • I like that it has comedy instilled in the plot as well, and seeing the lives of the characters dramatically be turned upside down was entertaining

The 1989 movie entitled, “She Devil” was not only one that I think many people can relate, but was a fun and entertaining movie that made me laugh out loud countless number of times. This is a movie that was made quite some time ago, so I realize that many people may not really know much about the film, or might even be turned off by it because it’s not up to par with the sort of films they are used to watching in the years following 2000. However, I highly recommend that if you are someone who likes comedy,

relatable story lines and Rosanne Bar, you should take the time to watch this film.

For starters, this movie is about a house wife, (played by Rosanne Bar) named Ruth, who is madly in love with her husband, Bob. She tries to look her best for him, though age and housework have made her look and feel frumpy and not matching up to other women near her age. After attending a party with her husband and accidentally spilling some wine on a well known author, Mary, (played by Meryl Streep) that her husband is leaving her for Mary, and feeling as ...

      • though she is not good enough. She stages a plan to get back at him, and to turn her life around. She does all of the above, and makes Bob see that she is not worthless after all.

What I really liked about this film, is how much Ruth takes back her life after her husband belittles her and leaves her for a younger and more attractive woman. I like that it has comedy instilled in the plot as well, and seeing the lives of the characters dramatically be turned upside down was entertaining. I was rooting for Ruth, as I

am sure many people are who watch this film.

I would recommend that younger children do not watch this film, seeing as how there are some suggestive scenes, and there is really no morals to the story line. While the film might seem simple, and not very entertaining, it truly deserves a second look. It’s empowering as well, watching a woman who was thought of as frumpy and really nothing more than a house wife take back her life and show everyone that she is not what they had thought she was. The comedy of the film is also something entertaining as well.
