If anyone ever wants to know why I oppose a fourth Indiana Jones film, they should watch the movie Firewall.
Harrison Ford definitely shows his age in this movie. He plays a married man and father of two who must figure out a way to hack into his banks security …

One of my favourite films by Tim Burton, Beetlejuice is a dark, but highly comic little gem with a fantastic little story at its heart complete with a cast of superb performers.
The film follows a newly wedded couple, played by Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin who, shortly after moving …

It was because of Candyman why I avoided taking a shower for a week as a kid. I was afraid to be alone in the bathroom, much less pass by a mirror where I knew he would jump out and get me. I really liked the first movie and I …

Requem for a dream is an excellent movie which shows the effects of drug addiction. This movie is a very well made movie with some excellent performances by the lead actors. Ellen Burstyn, Jared Leto and Jennifer connolly played the lead roles in this movie and all of these …

Hatchet is without a doubt the best horror movie I’ve seen in a long time. People kept telling me to watch the remake of Halloween or a film from the After Dark series, or even one of the foreign horror movies, but nothing kept my attention like Hatchet did. …

The Longest Yard was a movie that I had absolutely no desire to see for the longest time, no pun intended. I have to say that I’ve never really been a big fan of Adam Sandler. There are times when potty humor can be funny and times when stupid …

This is without doubt one of the dullest and boring movies I have ever seen. Watching this film unfold on your TV will put you to sleep. Worst, it’s supposed to be a horror movie! Horror movies as you very well know should be filled with suspense, scary moments …

So the basic over view of this movie is supposed to be about a girl named Debbie who finds a ouija board in her house, and decides to play with it. She wakes up evil spirits in her house, who then end up murdering her. Her bestfriend, Laine, can’t …

Happy feet is an animated movie about the penguins and their life and their problems. In the movie there is a penguin whose name is mumble who can not sing properly like all other penguins but he can dance very nicely but no any other penguin appretiate his dancing …

When this movie came out I really thought it was so low-budget and too corny. I didn’t know the director, I didn’t know the main cast, and I didn’t know what the point of the movie was all about. The trailer didn’t show anything much and the posters were …

This great and classic comedy western by legendary comedian Mel Brooks is about a railroader who meets a snag in his contraction plan when he gets stuck in quicksand and has to find an alternate route to run his train tracks. He now has his eyes focused on a …

The 2010 film “Kick-Ass” was supposed to be a film that portrays the average guy wanting to become a super hero to save the world against evil, of course with a few adult type humor comedy thrown in and a few love scenes where the ordinary teenager gets the …

Left Behind The Movie is the first in what I consider to be a mini series about the apocalypses. It gives us the writers view point of how he see’s the event happening. Kirk Cameron does a phenomenal job playing the part of the reporter in the movie. It …

You’ve Got Mail is one of my favourites all time romantic movies together with Sleepless in Seattle and While You Were Sleeping. The main actors in this movie are Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan who team up once again together after making Sleepless in Seattle and Joe versus the …

I really enjoy watching comedy movies. One day as I was surfing channels I was able to see the movie Fired Up in Star Movies.
Fired Up is about two guys who are football jocks who want to go and join the cheerleading camp just to be able to check …

The 2005 film “The Wedding Date” is in the genre of romantic comedy, and while it surely did deliver on the comedy level, I am not so sure the movie was something I could enjoy more than once. I found the plot to be sort of “Pretty Woman” backwards …

I think Blazing Saddles is one of the best comedy films ever made and although people often say that ‘High Society’ is Mel Brooks’s best film, for me this is the best. This is a satirical film, which is a fact that some people seem to miss, which …

Return from Witch Mountain was the first follow up to the Disney favorite, Escape to Witch Mountain. It’s the only one which included the original —˜kids’, Tia and Tony. Now teenagers, both Kim Richards and Ike Eisenmann returned as the brother and sister from another world who …

I just came across this movie title in Rottentomatoes.com when I was surfing the web looking for good movies to watch. I saw this and it was a German Film. This film is based on the true story in 1936, when Germany’s best forger, Salomon Sorowitsch, was sent to …

This is Mel Brooks’s version of Count Dracula story, released in 1995. All I can say is funny, funny, FUNNY! Just thinking of it makes me smile. Leslie Nielsen as the imposing but a little clumsy Dracula who keeps messing things up, Peter MacNicol as an unsuspecting London solicitor …

The 2010 comedy, “Easy A” was a teenage centered comedy that reflected some of the problems seen in the “Scarlet Letter”. While some of the problems faced by the chatacters in this film are very exagerated, the principle and message behind them are none the less impacting.
Emma Stone (from …

As the second installment in one of my favorite trilogies, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest is an exciting movie that everyone will love. The cast is one of my favorite. For starters, Johnny Depp returns as Captain Jack Sparrow. He is on a search to find the …

Ant-Man was possibly the only Marvel movie that caught me off-guard because I didn’t remember hearing of the superhero until after I saw the movie trailer, and because I wasn’t sure how seriously I could take one that had shrinking to the size of an ant as a superpower. However, …

I was finally able to watch Enchanted on cable on HBO a couple of weeks ago and I just absolutely love it. I was so used to seeing Disney movies create cartoons and yes, I like it. But this time, they were able to incorporate a magical story with …

We went to see the new animated “Christmas Carol” movie yesterday. Like all new Disney animations, it is done in 3D; we got the 3D glasses as we bought the tickets, and paid $3 more per ticket because of it. It was well worth it though: I felt like …

We had some free time last night so my wife and I decided to watch one of the Marilyn Monroe movies we had on our Netflix Player; As Young As You Feel.
I don’t know if I would really classify this as a Marilyn Monroe movie (she only had a …

I have watched the movie “The Basketball Diaries” several times, but had not known the name of the film up until recently when I watched it again. It is not to be confused with another American film called “Love and Basketball” which has a completely different plot and setting. …

I was forced to watch this movie as part of a requirement of a social work module of mine that had to deal with some sociocultural issues, and so, against my will, I went to my school library and borrowed this movie to watch it. The movie, my friend …

I love ordering videos from Blockbuster Online. The service is great. For less than 20 dollars a month, we can order as many videos as we like and keep them as long as we like! You can have 3 out at any time. As soon as you send one …

I had read the book a few years back, and I honestly never thought they would ever make a movie about it since it was literally just a bunch of letters that people had written to ask questions about their relationships. So, when I heard that the movie for …

I took my 11 year old son to see “I Am Number Four” on the weekend, not expecting too much; and was surprised by this movie. It is your typical teen movie featuring a boy-likes-girl scenario, social issues and some type of major obstacle to over come. …

What’s comfortable with the franchise in cinema is that the viewer knows what he is buying, what he expects and what he will get because the label matches the content . The audience has the right to like or not to like only the first film. Each subsequent new …

This movie is about a group of scientist in search of ruins in the Romanian forest when they notice that the 13th Century Abbey is built over the entrance of a giant cave with tunnels that span a wide area. They employ the services of some American jumpers to …

I thought that this is going to be a super amazing movie story but it just disappoints me to the max. The actors aren’t that bad looking and quite talented and this is like a normal cop movie where Suspect X is the mystery in the story. Yukawa …

This much anticipated movie based on Stephenie Mayer’s novel “Twilight” was a huge disappointment to me since I have read the book. I fell in love with the book when I first read it and couldn’t wait for the movie to come out when the book was said to …

A lot of people knock this particular season of DALLAS but it really isn’t all that bad. Actually, the only knock it because of what happens in season 10. Ok, let’s explain what this is all about: in the previous season, Patrick Duffy left Dallas to seek other pursuits. He …

“A Guy Thing” is definitely the movie that made the actor, Jason Lee be noticed to the general public. I personally watched him act in another movie “Kissing a Fool” and he was great, however I prefer best his interpretation of Paul Morse in the hilarious comedy “A Guy …

I’ll just start with the part I didn’t like. I didn’t like the speech at the end by the President as played by Jeff Bridges. I had liked his character up until then but something about the way it was written seemed obvious to me somehow. Maybe in this …

We have a new shopping center that’s still in the process of being built and it’s practically in our back yard! It’s called Lansdowne Station. It’s close enough to be very convenient, but far enough away that we don’t have the extra traffic and headaches. It’s great! One store …

“Piranha 3D” was the predictable horror movie I expected it to be. It’s Spring Break, and a local small town is bombarded with sex-crazed and drunken college students at their lake. The main character, Jake, is the son of the local sheriff. She asks him to …

House of Wax with Chad Michael Murray, Elisha Cuthbert, and Paris Hilton.
I have to be honest. I watched this movie in the hopes of seeing nude scenes with Paris Hilton. Well, it did not happen and the rest of the movie had to stand …

At first I thought that this movie was going to be like a rip-off of “The Prestige” which starred Christian Bale. But I am quite pleased to report that this movie has a similar storyline, but veers in an entirely different direction. Instead of concentrating fully on …

This movie tells the true-life story of one one the world favorite entertainers. From her childhood days into adulthood, the rise and ultimate fall of a great person who will be forever loved and missed. Jennifer Lopez did a great job of portaying the beautiful and talented goddess who …
