We went to see the new animated “Christmas Carol” movie yesterday. Like all new Disney animations, it is done in 3D; we got the 3D glasses as we bought the tickets, and paid $3 more per ticket because of it. It was well worth it though: I felt like I was within the
story as I watched the film, and all the numerous flight scenes were simply breathtaking.
As to the movie itself, it follows the original classic very well.
Most of us know the story of Scrooge and his Christmas adventure, so it is hard to surprise us – unless the story or the main character’s portrayal is royally messed up.
This version does not mess anything up, I am happy to report.
Scrooge is perhaps a little too skinny, but it is easy enough to accept or overlook; after all, he is such a penny pincher.
