One of the best movies I have ever seen is the movie Titanic starring Leonardo DiCaprio. This movie is a great depiction of the maritime catastrophe that occured on April 15, 1912. I felt that the movie took me back to that event.
I thought …

This movie got a really bad rap. I think that M. Night Shyamalan makes some really great films. I knew that this movie would not be “scary” because of the things that were said before it was released. But what people have to understand about this …

The Bumblebee action figure from the Transformers Animated Series line of toys is really cool. It retails for anywhere from $10.00 to $12.00 and can be found at many retailers, including Walmart, Kmart, and ToysRUs. Bumblebee is about 6 inches tall in robot mode and is a …

I like American Pie movies, but so far this is the most low-budget and low-cost American Pie movie I have ever seen. All of the characters are not famous and there isn’t one original character that was shown here unlike the first American Pie movie, but I still watched …

Will Smith appears as the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali aka Cassius Clay in this film by Michael Mann. Will Smith is actually very convincing in this serious role, although I personally think he’s more suited for humoristic roles. From the first to the last scene of this film feels …

Yentl is one of my favorite Barbra Streisand films. Maybe it’s because she put her soul into this movie, making it a tribute for her own father in real life. It’s a story about heritage and the right to study religion as a female in the Jewish …

Alice In Wonderland, Tim Burton’s remake of the classic Disney film actually goes in quite a different direction than what I expected. Obviously with Burton, there’s going to be quite a few twists to the movie and overall sort of a dark or gothic type mood to it and …

The sweetest thing is one of my favorite drama comedy romantic movie that I like. I watch this movie more than three times I think. First time I saw it in the DVD, and after that I saw it in my television station. There’s so many sex scene or …

The Shawshank Redemption is a very good movie that may take you several times of watching before you really get all the little nuances that are going on. At least for me, that is what happened. I got the big picture right away, but it took several viewings to …

I usually am a little apprehensive about “no-name” horror films. But I gave this one a shot. I am glad that I did because this movie was more interesting than I thought it would be. The plot is fairly simple: a group of …

I wasted 93 minutes of my life to watch this movie. I waited and waited for it to be funny still waiting!!! This was the most stupid movie I have ever seen. Everyone warned me not to see it but I did not listen to their advice. …

Greencine is another company that offers dvd rentals by mail just like blockbuster and netflix. They had a free trial a while back but I don’t know if they still do. The main reason I didn’t care for them is because they didn’t have a lot of movie titles …

Splatter movie from the same team who did Re-Animator for example. Just as with that film the story is very naive. A doctor and his friend goes mad and starts experimenting on themselves in hope of getting to a new dimension through the brain. This dimension is filled with …

I was a Lindsay Lohan fan before all the controversy about her surfaced. I think she’s really pretty and talented. I especially like her in Freaky Friday. But when she started acting up and many negative things about her came out, I stopped watching her movies all together. But …

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (2010) movie is a pleasant collaboration between Disney and producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who has been on creative fire since his “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies. I think that he’s given the family company just a slightly edgy, darker appeal without getting too violent, goth or …

A fantasy movie about a baby that was kidnapped by an evil queen in order to destroy what ever hopes other may have of the prophecy being fulfilled. It would seem that the queen wants her reign to continue for years to come and with this child’s destiny looming …

I watched the new Underworld: Awakening(Underworld 4) movie in 3D, and I must say that I was extremely impressed. I’ve watched the entire series and loved them all, except for the third one, which I found to be quite boring and unnecessary to the story line. I …

“The Woman in White,” 1982, mini-series is perhaps one of the best adaptations of the Wilkie Collins mystery novel. Mini-series, in my opinion, is the best way to film Victorian classics: you don’t have to cram a huge book in a one and a half hour movie and therefore …

I am always saying “Be careful what you wish for, as fate it seems, is not without a sense of humor” and to this day I continue to prove that very same thing. Nothing that you wish for even comes to be exactly the way you wish it; instead, …

Goldie Hawn stars in Private Benjamin, a wonderful comedy that really shows off her talents. Judy Benjamin is a spoiled rich girl whose husband dies on their wedding night. Confused and depressed, she joins the Army, only she’s joined the ones seen in the commercials and the …

Everyone remembers one teacher one teacher that seemed to have it out for them. Maybe it was a pesky history teacher, or the woman with the grey hair who stood guard in American lit, but for most of us, it was the most dreaded of all the primary school …

I had expected the movie —˜Gomorrah’ to be dark and violent, as the plot is about gangs in modern-day Naples, Italy, and it was certainly as I expected. What I hadn’t expected was that, along with the murder and drugs that are prominently featured in this sub-titled film, the …

Blue Valentine is one of those movies that show that in reality you can find the best things. Not in the rich imaginations of people. This film is fiction, but it’s very detailed, so you can forget it’s fiction, it captured the essence of reality extremely well. It’s a …

This movie is a very action-packed movie and it stars Channing Tatum, Rachel Nichols, Sienna Miller, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marlon Wayans, Dennis Quaid, and Saïd Taghmaoui. Paul Verhoeven is a dutch controversial filmmaker who combines social criticism with main stream action and science fiction, and in my opinion this mixture is often very interesting. Robocop takes place in a future where criminality has grown out of proportion and the authorities do everything they can to …

Into the Blue
Sony Pictures
Stars: Jessica Alba and Paul Walker
They need to sink this movie. If you are a guy then the constant butt shots of Jessica Alba are plenteous. This movie had a stupid plot, gave in to the stereotypes about lawyers (greedy sharks), and pretty much had me …

The World is Not Enough is a film that in my opinion should never have been made. It’s another 007 film starring Pierce Brosnan for the third time, and it was very successful at the box office. The whole concept of James Bond has been held alive all these …

Ugh. I hate the title for this movie even more than I hate the movie itself. And what surprises me is the amount of parents that let their kids watch something with the title ‘Mean Girls’. It’s not such an awful movie; I guess. It’s your typical high school …

When I began watching this British movie, I thought, “Definitely not Hollywood.” I don’t know how to describe it, but the movie had this simplistic, almost amateur feel. However, very soon I stopped noticing it.
The story itself is not very original: a teenage boy unexpectedly becomes a millionaire. I …

Females kick butt in this 1985 follow-up to the eerie and moody Ridley Scott classic Alien. James Cameron was at the helm of this production and wisely tried to stay clear from making a carbon copy of Scott’s cult film, deciding to go for a full out action film …

Dead Like Me: Haunted was the final regular episode for this science fiction series about grim reapers. It was Halloween, and it was actually one of their better episodes.
