Tons of praise can be showered upon Coppola for he is a legend of Hollywood, after a decade long wait for his fans and admirers Coppola hits back with “Youth without Youth”. In line with the recent trend of novel-adopted films YWY is based on Mircea Elaide’s novella - which I’ve not read.

      This is

certainly not a film for everyone; this is not a conventional film which is made purely for entertainment.

Oh! by the way, when I say ‘unconventional … for these times” I do not necessarily mean that it’s ahead of our times - Coppola has probably used an older style of presentation.

I couldn’t say that for sure as I haven’t watched movies beyond 70’s but the film reeks of classicism.

        One good watch!
