“Blue Streak” is one of Martin Lawrence’s great movies. If you enjoyed his interpretation of “Big Momma’s House” films, then I can guarantee that you will definitely enjoy watching this movie which Lawrence did just a year before the “Big Momma” hit movies.
What I really liked about this movie, …

‘Barbie in the12 Dancing Princesses’ is the cartoon I like best in series about Barbie. All Barbie cartoons are gently, peaceful and suitable for girls. They are like fairy tales with magnificient context. But the appearance of princes, pricesses, farm girls and poor people in Barbie stories isn’t like …

The 2008 movie “Rachel Getting Married” might have had a great cast who fell into the roles of their characters phenomenally, and maybe they have done that too well. Because Anne Hathaway who plays Rachel’s sister, Kim, in the movie, really got on my nerves and I think that …

A new awakening of the noir genre by Roman Polanski. Jack Nicholson plays a cynical private investigator who is involved in a dangerous and shocking affair with Faye Dunaway. Little is told to begin with, but we later come to understand that Faye’s character has been abused by her …

Ohhh boy. I guess I should go ahead and warn you that this movie is a very low-budget yet hardcore German gay film. While not necessarily a pornographic movie, there are some rather explicit scenes, and one in particular that is really jarring to watch, no …

It’s been ages since I’ve sat down and watched a Charlie Chan movie, so going into this I was curious to see how I’d enjoy it again. This movie, Charlie Chan in Reno, was from 1939 and stars Sidney Toler in the role of the infamous detective.
The black …

If you are looking for a terrific ensemble film with a great storyline, look no further than the movie “13 Conversations About One Thing”. Honestly, I have not put much thought into the title other than to realize that the stories within are interconnected in a really subtle, …

I went to see this film opening night, and of course, the theater was packed with people dressed in wizard costumes with scars on their foreheads. Just like other avid readers of the Harry Potter books, I had been very critical of the previous films and came in with …

Forever at the top in the world of animation, Disney broke even more ground with this lushly animated and wonderfully told new version of the classic french fairy tale Beauty and the Beast. So wonderous was this instant classic, that it was the first ever animated film to ever …

I been a James Bond fan since the arrival of Daniel Craig as the new icon of James Bond, a serious contention in the Bond series, I actually feel he has a really no nonsense look, intelligent and really gritty in my opinion.
Daniel Craig is in his second James …

The Town Went Wild, a 1944 release, was a really ridiculous movie that was overplayed and just felt like a big glob of confusion. The film centers on two boys, young men really, of marrying age even, who are suddenly told that they were switched at birth and …

I have seen a book entitled “A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court” in my aunt’s library at her house which was written apparently by the author Mark Twain. However, I have never made an attempt to read the book so I am not sure if it is related …

You have to be at least my age to be able to remember Elvira hosting B-rated horror movies on television back in the 80s. However, kids can gain an understanding of her character by renting her classic movie, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
Overall, it’s kind of a dumb movie. …

Walking into the movie theater, I was a bit nervous. I did not know what to expect and I really hoped that I would like the movie. The original Total Recall has become somewhat of a classic, at least in my circle of family and friends. Doing a remake …

This movie got a really bad rap. I think that M. Night Shyamalan makes some really great films. I knew that this movie would not be “scary” because of the things that were said before it was released. But what people have to understand about this …

Every one wants more money; especially when the economy is the way it is. That’s why I think the movie Mad Money turned out to be a much better film than I expected it to be; it was very easy to relate to.
The film is about three women (and …

To give props where props are do: I really like the idea of Mutilation Ball, and the “sport” is animated brilliantly. I don’t know who came up with the idea of combining chain saws with basketball but for some strange reason it works, at least as it is …

This must have been a good movie because it evoked so many emotions from me. The setting and the characterizations were incredible. Leonardo is as always beautiful in it. The thing I hated was when she was on the door or whatever at the end and she says ‘I’ll …

And so here it is, the final part of this fantastic trilogy. By this point you know if you like the films or not, and for those who do, this is the glorious finale.

There have been many versions of Freaky Friday since the first filming of Mary Rodgers book, but it is the one that I still enjoy the most. Sure some of it is dated, having been filmed in the 1970’s and with most of that ages fashion shown in full …

A film by John Landis about the rivalry between two college houses. An intense, crazy comedy that doesn’t leave a moment for the audience to take a breath. I have a taste for films that uses the theme of college and high school, but this one didn’t really engage …

Two years after Sandra Dee captured the world as the girl midget known as Gidget, the character was back in Gidget Goes Hawaiian. Now honestly, this one is probably my favorite. There’s something about the storyline that I really loved. I don’t know if technically it’s …

When I watch a movie, I can’t help but pay attention to the actors. If a movie uses bad actors, then the chances are good that I’m going to despise the movie. That’s my main problem with Friday the 13th part 7. I knew going in that the movie …

In the year 2007, I would have thought that a more in depth methamphetamine documentary could have been made. Kudos to the creators for casting Val Kilmer as the narrator. His voice has plenty of presence, and you forget that it’s even him speaking. However, this …

Since it’s looking like a strong contender for Best Picture at the next Oscars, and because it was the only movie I’ve actually been even moderately excited about seeing in a long time, here’s my review of David Fincher’s “The Social Network,” a film based on a book chronicling …

This film failed in comparison to the two previous films. Not only did it fail to live up to the other two it introduces a female Terminator with limited technological advancement. The T-1000 of Judgement Day was the best of all Terminators. The conclusion to the trilogy left viewers …
