Street Hawk: Dog Eat Dog was the fifth episode of the series about Jesse Mach, ex-street cop who now rides a desk while secretly working for the government and fighting crime on his suped-up all terrain motorcycle. Good looking Rex Smith stars as Mach, with average joe Joe Regalbuto tagging along as Norman Tuttle, who is the computer guru and the federal connection.

In Dog Eat Dog, Daphne Ashbrook

guest stars as singer Debra Shain. Doing a favor for his co-worker, Rachel Adams (Jeannie Wilson), Mach goes to the studio to try and convince Debra to do a public service announcement, but she refuses. Jesse, however, is intrigued by her and concerned and starts to investigate her manager. When the manager turns up dead, Debra becomes a suspect and goes on the run.

      Ashbrook does a ...

      • nice job. I hate the music, though. There’s nothing about it that appeals to me in the slightest. I believe her as the character. She portrays a strength that comes from inside which her character is supposed to have, and she also expresses a natural vulnerability. She did pretty good with the story given to her.

Charles Lampkin was wonderful as musician Artie Shank.

He actually was a pleasant surprise and helped to bring this story to a sweet resolve.

The other excellent element to this story was Kai Wulff as the villain. He knows how to play these bad guys with smooth. He’s like a velvet glove when it comes to playing a part like this. He was especially silk in this portrayal.

All in all, I really enjoyed this episode.
