From 1995, Rex Smith stars as Jesse Mach aka: Street Hawk. He’s a secret hero in a sense, using a hyped up motorcycle with all kinds of gadgets and gizmos to defeat the villains. This episode, Hot Target, is the 9th of the season, which actually is the only season the show aired.

In the episode, Joanna Kerns stars as a former

co-worker and ex-flame of Norman Tuttle (Joe Regalbuto) named Mona Wiliams. Charles Napier also appears as Mona’s adversary, John Slade. He’s an adversary because he’s the head of security and he’s trying to keep her from talking to her boss. Of course, that’s because there’s something fishy going on.

Like most episodes, there is plenty of action here, but what is ...

      • a little refreshing is that not all of it is on the ramped up motorcycle that Mach rides when doing his Street Hawk bit. There’s still a lot of that, but the variety here is nice. There was a super car wreck where a stationwagon went flying off a mountaintop. Wow, it was aerially fantastic to watch. I’m not
big on crashes and maybe it’s from watching the Olympics lately, but I actually went, “Wow, that’s a lot of air.”

The little love story between Norman and Mona isn’t bad, either. It’s a refreshing change from Jesse and his conquests. I actually like how the two worked through and discussed their past together. It was intelligent and still touched my heart.
