Have Gun - Will Travel: The Silver Queen is a wonderful story of kindness, the best kind, that given freely with nothing expected in return. An old friend of Paladin’s, a prospector named Leadhead Kane (Earle Hodgins) is infatuated with a beautiful French actress named Annette Vargas (Lita Milan). Covertly,

Paladin arranges for Leadhead and Annette to have dinner with him. When Leadhead asks for her autograph, she gives him her medallion to remember her by.

When people find out that Leadhead changed his will right before dying that night, leaving everything to Annette, she is accused of murder.

      It’s human nature to ...

      • not believe that human kindness can be so highly valued as it was by Leadhead. He was an old man, lonely, and often ignored by younger people going about their business. It was hard for them to believe a beautiful woman like Annette would enjoy an evening with Leadhead without
        an ulterior motive. Sad.

That’s why I like this show, because it exposes a human fault that so often blinds us.

Milan is wonderful as Annette, taking her through a range of emotions as she decides to fight back against her accusers.

This show has a wonderful message for all of mankind — be kind.
