The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.: Fountain of Youth gives John Bly haters a chance to smile. Or does it? That’s a question that we’ll have to wait and see, but the fun part is watching Bly be foiled, right when he thinks he’s about to get his way.

      This western

show has some pretty cool special effects for its day in bringing about the possible end of outlaw Bly. It’s just a neat scene to watch.

Most of what is good about The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.: Fountain of Youth is dealing with the mysterious orbs we’ve come to know and ...

      • how Bly makes his demise. It’s intriguing.

Bruce Campbell is great as Brisco County, Jr. This part seems made for him. It’s a great cousin to the role he plays today on Burn Notice. They’re very different characters, but it’s the personality and wry tones that relates the two.

        In

this episode, there’s decent acting support from Billy Drago, James Hong, Teri Ivens, and the recurring Brandon Maggart as Professor Ogden Coles, who is an orb expert. Ivens plays Coles’ daughter, which is an added twist.

Overall, Fountain of Youth is enjoyable to watch, though I will also admit it’s not a favorite.
