Just when we thought the evil John Bly was gone, he’s back in The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.: Bye Bly. Big time groan. As played by Billy Drago, he just is one weird looking bad guy. However, this is the show that gives us a ton of answers and which marks the end, apparently, of

      the orb story.

What’s unusual is that it’s not the end of the season yet, so I don’t know if it was a timing thing or if in the few remaining episodes after this, there is actually more to the tale. From what Bye Bly incorporates, though, it would seem to be a delightful wrap up of this aspect.

      Concluding ...

      • the orb story also marks a transition. With Bly and his gang all dead, arrested, or whatnot, Brisco and Bowler have accomplished their mission. So, what do they do next? The answer isn’t exactly exciting to me, but they did find a way to keep Socrates included, so that was a good point.

        Bruce Campbell actually got

to stretch just a tad in Bye Bly. Normally, his character is pretty much the same. There’s not a lot for him to stand out with. However, there was a dramatically emotional moment that let him go beyond that, albeit briefly.

The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.: Bye Bly is a very good entry for the western.
