  • I don't have any other stainless steel travel mugs to compare them to - all of my other travel mugs are plastics -- but these (I bought two at a time) are sturdy, inexpensive, and don't lose heat
  • I have noticed with other people's travel mugs that when you hold them, you can feel the warmth on the outside - not the Contigo Travel mugs
  • The main advantage, in my opinion, is that these mugs are spillproof
  • The only disadvantage that I have found is that it seems like the metal absorbs a bit of the flavour
  • These cost the same as cute plastic ones and are much sturdier and better quality

As travel mugs go, Contigo Stainless Steel Vacuum travel mugs are pretty good. I don’t have any other stainless steel travel mugs to compare them to - all of my other travel mugs are plastics — but these (I bought two at a time) are sturdy, inexpensive, and don’t lose heat. I have noticed with other people’s travel mugs that

when you hold them, you can feel the warmth on the outside - not the Contigo Travel mugs. Your drink stays hot, even for several hours.

The main advantage, in my opinion, is that these mugs are spillproof. There’s a button near the rim on the opposite side of the opening for drinking, and you have to press the button in ...

      • order for any liquid to come out. It’s great! I can keep the mug inside my backpack and not worry too much about tea getting all over my stuff.

The only disadvantage that I have found is that it seems like the metal absorbs a bit of the flavour. You have to wash the mug several times before the flavour

of whatever you drank previously completely leaves. So if you have coffee one day, it’s not always a good thing to have tea the next day. This isn’t a big deal, but one good hot soapy wash isn’t always enough.

The price is very reasonable, I thought. These cost the same as cute plastic ones and are much sturdier and better quality.
