Iron Fist is a novel from the Star Wars Expanded Universe. It’s the sixth novel in the Star Wars X-wing series, and follows the Wraith Squadron established in the fifth book in the same series.

What I like about this book is the multiple plots that are linked with each other.

      As the

same time as the Squadron plots to bring down Warlord Zsinj, two of the squadrons member are plotting to bring down a corrupt pilot trainer with the help of someone they think was kidnapped by the Empire, but really used to work for them.

It is lot of humor and slapstick in this ...

      • book, but also some sadder moments.

The death of the squadrons medic is a very touching scene, and for Star Wars quite rare.

No going out in a blaze of glory, and for that very reason it is surprising and touching as you don’t expect a scene like that in this book.

        There’s

a lot of likeable characters around, maybe a bit too many sometimes as some of them become a bit stereotypic.

The last scenes are a big battle, featuring some of the main characters from the first 3 films, behaving just the way all Star Wars fans know and love.

A great ending to an amusing book.
