In this third book in the series about Anne Shirley, Anne goes of to college at Redmond College in Nova Scotia. She goes together with her friends from Avonlea, Gilbert Blythe and Charlie Sloane, as well as her friends Priscilla and Stella from Queen’s College. She also befriends a
girl named Philippa in the first week, and the four girls rent a house together.
With four girls living together, there is bound to be a lot of romance.
The friendship between Anne and Gilbert takes a twist when he proposes and she says no.
Very annoying to the reader of course, as I suppose I and everybody else understood that she loves him! Anne’s other love interest, Roy, is a bit disappointing.
He’s just too perfect, and it’s a relief when she says no to him to.
