The “J” cafeteria at Humboldt State University serves calzones for lunch every tuesday. A calzone is like a small pizza without the sauce that is folded in half and closed,

so it’s like a big home-made cheesey pizza pocket.

      The cost is $1.

      10 with a meal plan or $3.

30 if you are paying with cash.

I always look forward to ...

      • calzone day.

Each week they have a different kind of calzone.

There is always one vegetarian option and one meat option and they are both great.

        My favorite calzone

is the pineapple and Canadian bacon.

The pineapple is juicy and hot, and the Canadian bacon is also very good.

I have to say I have not had a calzone that I didn’t like.
