  • This is my favourite episode of all Doctor Who episodes
  • It is actually a second part of a very interesting episode situated in the 2nd world war where Rose and the Doctor arrived following through the time hole a medical capsule
  • I really liked this episode and if you ever want to watch Doctor Who I recommend you not to start from this episode but from this one, actually from its first part called The Empty Child because this episode really shows what’s Doctor Who all about

This is a totally unusual title for a totally awesome episode. This is my favourite episode of all Doctor Who episodes. It is actually a second part of a very interesting episode situated in the 2nd world war where Rose and the Doctor arrived following through the time hole a medical capsule.

They find strange people there wearing gas masks with cuts on their hands and fracture of their heads. They even met Captain jack who is trying to sell them the capsule but the Doctor realises that the capsule started everything so he questions The Captain and finds out that the Captain sent the capsule trough the time because he knew the Doctor would follow it but Jack though the capsule was empty and he wanted to sell it to the Doctor who would give him 50% in advance and then the capsule would get destroyed by a German bomb.

They’ve also met a girl Nancy who with a bunch a bunch of kids

goes trough people’s houses while they are hiding from the bombs and they eat what’s on the table because they are homeless orphans. But the girl is followed by the boy who is constantly asking everyone if they are his Mummy, actually the boy shows symptoms everyone else has, so the Doctor realises Nancy is hiding a secret.

Nancy goes back to the place where the capsule crashed because it killed her brother but she gets caught by the army and left with a soldier that starts showing symptoms everyone else has, but the Doctor saves her. They all go to the capsule because Jack wants to show them that the capsule was empty.

At that moment all the sick people get up and start heading towards them. The ambulance capsule wasn’t empty actually it had nano-gens in it and nano-gens can fix every injury but as they had never seen a normal man and the first one they saw was the boy they killed who ...

      • was wearing a gas mask, had a fractured head and a cut on his hand so the nano-gens though all the men should look like that and they tried to fix all the people to make they be like the boy.

Here Nancy’s secret plays an important role but I won’t tell you what was it because it would ruin the whole episode for you. There are so many psychologically frightening elements like the one when Nancy is in the house with the kids and Jim, one of the boys, is typing on the machine but at a certain point Nancy says to one boy, ‘Jim is sitting right there next to you so who is typing?’ This boy who is following can control mechanisms from a distance.

The moment is really terrifying I must admit I froze the same second she said that phrase. Let’s go back to the title, now that you’ve read what’s the episode about, the title doesn’t seem to have anything

with it, but it does because all the time Rose wants to make the Doctor dance because he was bragging about his ‘’moves’’ so Rose wants to see them.

The title is really light while the content of the episode is rather heavy and complicated also serious. In the end we see that although Captain Jack is a fraud that he is good in heart as he takes the capsule in the space to destroy it knowing that he will die when the capsule explodes.

I don’t even have to tell you that the Doctor and Rose will save him. It really was such an awesome episode, I couldn’t close my eyes for a second because everything was so important and the tension was incredible.

I really liked this episode and if you ever want to watch Doctor Who I recommend you not to start from this episode but from this one, actually from its first part called The Empty Child because this episode really shows what’s Doctor Who all about.

It’s nice to know that this episode was your favorite out of all the episodes. I have only seen a couple of Doctor Who and I liked the episodes a lot. I just didn’t have the time at that point in my life. Great review. I am impressed and sharing Doctor Who only makes me excited and want to watch it.
