Sears Kenmore brand of home appliances are consistently dependable. This particular over-and-under washer/dryer combination are ideally suited for a small space.

Ours are installed in the kitchen and are only 2′3″ wide, so the only spatial loss was a little counter space and one cupboard for the

convenience of a laundry center right in the main home work area.

But just because the design is compact doesn’t mean the capacity is small.

Both the washer and dryer units are heavy duty/super capacity.

The washer is on the bottom and extends out about five ...

      • inches beyond the front of the dryer, which has a beveled bottom so that the washer lid can be easily opened.

It’s a very efficient and attractive design.

Both washer and dryer have all the settings and options of other top-of-the line appliances, such as different heat

settings, time settings, and so forth.

The lint trap for the dryer is right at the front at eye level so it’s easy to empty.

Check with your Sears store for the prices on this combination if you have a lot of clothes and a very little space.

i have an older model kenmore washer about 15 yrs old. when we use it it leaves fuzz balls from the towels all over the other things in that cycle. no matter what we wash it seems it happens every time. is there a lint trap that i can clean out or is there a place that this lint could be building up that i could clean. thanks
    John says :

Washers don’t have lint traps. However, you should check the drainage hose. If there’s a build up there it can prevent the lint from draining out properly.
    Galega says :

There isn’t any lint trap with this washer, and hence there is no question of finding it. You can check the drainage system and hose pipe and ensure that they are completely clean.

However, to get out of this quagmire, I would suggest you to run an empty wash with warm water and get your washer completely cleaned.

my front load wash rinses but wont spin and the clothes are still wet
    John says :

Mark, this usually a sign that either the motor or the belt has to be replaced. If you’re under warranty this type of thing would be covered. You should get in touch with Kenmore if you are.
    Galega says :

That can by anything - a minor or a big technical issue. It might have happened because of the problem with a faulty lid switch, a broken belt, or a problem with the motor. You can check lid switch and belt on your own. If there is fault, call mechanic to sort out the problem. Motor problem should always be tackled by a professional.
