There is one word to describe the pilot of the television series Cougartown and that is awkward.

I’m not sure what i was expecting in a half hour sitcom about older women that prey on younger men but I know t wasn’t this.

The show is about forty something Jules who was

divorced five months ago and is only now finding her groove. As men her age are dating younger women she decides to date younger men.

So maybe it fell flat on it’s face because it’s the first episode. Often a show needs to get off it’s feet and get comfortable ...

      • before it starts to flow. This episode didn’t flow. Courtney Cox plays Jules and while I normally like her as a comedic actress she drove me nuts in this episode. She screamed, boy did she scream all throughout it, shouting her lines through of much of the
        show.

The jokes were rough, they were borderline dirty but somehow unfunny.

What I did like was the introduction of handsome Grayson a neighbour who dates younger women, he looks like a potential love interest for Jules.

Overall this episode seemed like they were trying too hard to be funny and it really wasn’t funny.
