  • But, my curiosity has always gotten the better of me, and every two or three weeks I'm trying out a new product or product line that I've never tried before, and it's amazing to me how many of these kinds of skin care products are really out there
  • But, unfortunately, I have always had a skin or blemish problem ever since I hit puberty and my hormones got the better of me
  • In my youth the skin problems were severe acne which has, thankfully, lessened over the years and now that I'm in my thirties, I really just experience an occassional breakout consistening of just a few blemishes, and these only typically occur every few weeks and last no longer than a few days at a time so long as I'm keeping up with my normal cleansing routine
  • But, even though I cleanse thoroughly and daily, the blemishes still occur, and I tend to gravitate towards those products you can apply right to the problem area and less towards cleansers since I have two or three that I really like and use regularly
  • I found that if I used my normal cleanser along with this product, however, it increased the dryness and actually lead to me feeling a bit itchy throughout the day, so I'd suggest using this product alone or only with other recommended products

I used to think that, once I discovered neutrogena cream cleanser, I would never switch to anything else. But, my curiosity has always gotten the better of me, and every two or three weeks I’m trying out a new product or product line that I’ve never tried before, and it’s amazing to me how many of these kinds of skin care products are really out there. I really can’t count the amount of money I’ve spent trying out these products for the sheer fun of it and less because I actually want or need it. Go figure. But, unfortunately, I have always had a skin or blemish problem ever since I hit puberty and my hormones got the better of me. I’ve just recently begun giving clean and clear products a shot when I haven’t used them since I was a young teenager. I found the Clean & Clear Advantage Mark Treatment for $7 and since it was a five ounce bottle, I didn’t think that price was unreasonable, since most treatments for that price were only a two ounce bottle. Seemed like a deal to me. The one thing I liked about ...

      • this product is that not only is it a basic acne treatment, but it’s also supposed to reduce the appearance of post-acne marks. Though I thankfully escaped being scarred from the acne I experienced in my youth, I do still have a mark here or there that I’d rather do without, as I’m sure anyone can understand. And, it never hurts that it’s supposed to treat and get rid of existing acne, as well as act as a preventative measure, which is important to me as well.

You apply a thin layer one to three times a day. Most clean and clear products will dry your skin out if you have normal or dry skin to begin with, but I have very oily skin so could safely use this product all three times a day and it really did help keep the oil at bay, which is the main cause of breakouts

to begin with. When first applied and washed off, my face would feel very tight, almost to the point of discomfort, but after about five minutes, that went away and I was left with pleasantly soft feeling skin, and it didn’t feel tight or overly dry at all even though the oil stayed away for hours longer than it would have if I wasn’t using the product. I found that if I used my normal cleanser along with this product, however, it increased the dryness and actually lead to me feeling a bit itchy throughout the day, so I’d suggest using this product alone or only with other recommended products. But it worked fairly well for the price. Kept the blemishes to a bare minimum and was quick to treat blemishes that popped up. What would’ve taken five days to clear up on it’s own, took only three days, and every day counts if you ask me!
