If you have Photoshop CS3, you know that reading lots of good Photoshop books will help you expand your knowledge on this software. One of the helpful guides I recommend you to read is Photoshop CS3 For Dummies. It is not really anything special, but it will somehow take your knowledge a step higher if you already know some basics.

It is not really for complete newbies.

First of all you need to learn some new basic things about this program because it shows you how to be more proficient with the tools here. For example, what ...

are pixels? What are CMYK and RGB? Those things and more are explained here. The explanations are easy to understand for average people who don’t know much about Photoshop, which is good because most of us are not as skilled or advanced as some pros out there.

For a book that is aimed at intermediate users, this discusses a wide array of topics and offer a lot

of meat. It has 20 chapters, but all of them are filled with not only tips on how to use certain tools and features, but also little-known keyboard shortcuts, graphic design techniques and ways how to save more time while using this software. All in all, this is a very useful book that anybody at beginner and intermediate level should read to expand his knowledge on Photoshop.
