  • The only problem I have with this device is that the shiny (chrome) look is unfortunately easy to scratch and scuff
  • Although at a distance this problem is not very noticeable, it is still a concern of mine
  • I would recommend this watch to those who love their college and are looking for an extremely reliable watch brand

Fossil’s College Collection watch is a great value for the price. With the custom University graphics on the face of the watch it also makes for a great gift for the college student, or enthusiastic alumni.

I have owned one of these watches (Texas A&M) now for over a year and a half and received

      it as a present.

The style of the watch is like most of their collections with the stainless steel, which looks casual professional.

I have gotten it wet on accident many times, and can uphold that their 100 meters waterproof does work as it is supposed to.

I have never had to replace the battery yet, and it has been ticking ever since I set the time on it a year and a half ago.

The glass face is fairly scratch resistant to the everyday bumps, and mine still has no scratches on the glass face leaving it clear to read the time.

The only problem I have with this ...

device is that the shiny (chrome) look is unfortunately easy to scratch and scuff.

So while the face is perfect, the band is in need of some help.

Although at a distance this problem is not very noticeable, it is still a concern of mine.

Even though it has minor scratches it is overall extremely

durable due to its construction and would take a lot of drops, bumps, and scuffs to really break the watch.

I would recommend this watch to those who love their college and are looking for an extremely reliable watch brand.

Fossil watches have been proven to work wonderful, and this Fossil College Collection Watch is no exception.

Richard replies :

Diane, that watch is a part of the College Edition Fossil Watches, which are all water resistant up to 330 feet. Since it is water resistant, and not waterproof extended periods underwater is not suggested. I have dropped mine in the pool before and it was perfectly fine, washing my hands and it getting wet is fine. If it is going to last, then water should be avoided. But when an accident happens around water it should be fine.
