  • It still is one of the better Robin Hood movies I’ve watched but I have to admit, it wasn’t as entertaining as I remember it being
  • But, if you are looking for a better performance from the man playing Robin Hood himself, I would suggest looking for some of the older movies that are out there instead

      Well, I’m not a huge Kevin Costner fan but I did like his Robin Hoods Prince of Thieves movie when it first came out so I figured I would take the time to watch it again yesterday. It still is one of the better Robin Hood movies I’ve watched but I

      have to admit, it wasn’t as entertaining as I remember it being.

      Costner’s performance is actually a bit lifeless (much like most of his roles; which is why I really can’t stand to watch most of his films now) and, if it weren’t for Morgan Freeman performing as his muslim sidekick,

      • I think this movie would have been horrible.

        The story itself is decent.

        It follows a good chunk of the Robin Hood legend but edits out some of the dumber parts (like the whole archery contest scene); electing to put in some decent battle scenes.

        The fights are also pretty realistic;

        though I don’t think gun powder was invented yet.

        Overall, it is a good movie to watch if you want a good action film.

        But, if you are looking for a better performance from the man playing Robin Hood himself, I would suggest looking for some of the older movies that are out there instead.
