I read Dan Brown’s Digital Fortress shortly after it was published. It was my first encounter with the author and, if it weren’t for all the hype around the

Da Vinci Code, I probably would never have read another.

Overall, the plot of the book was OK.

Basically, the heros were trying to protect the release of a secret code that is unbreakable.

There was some mystery and a lot of action but I just didn’t seem to enjoy the book too much and barely managed to ...

      get through the whole thing.

I’m not sure if it was the way Brown wrote it or because the whole plot seemed a bit unbelievable.

      Probably the only good

part of the book was the code itself, which requires you to use the book itself to solve the code.

It did give me something to do when I realized that.
