  • I wouldn't recommend this CD to anyone who hates music without lyrics
  • It is Vai's most successful work but the only problem with is I believe there should be a few vocal tracks but it's suppose to be an instrumental album so its OK

I recently bought the CD passion & Warfare by Steve Vai at CD trader. For 6 dollars this CD just blew my mind with awesome riffs, melodies and solos by virtuoso Steve Vai.

I wouldn’t recommend this CD to anyone who hates music without lyrics.

The only thing this album has is talking and

yelling from a series of back up vocalists including Vais relatives, son and wife.

This album has a wide variety of music from epic songs like his biggest hit For the Love of God an epic song that was well constructed, I heard he fasted a few days for that recording, Blue Powder ...

      • a heavy ballad.

also featured is some weird but still great tracks such as Erotic Nightmares, Alien Water kiss, Greasy kid’s stuff and the hilarious, The Audience is listening which features vai as a little boy making a teacher angry for his loud music.

Then there’s the lighter stuff like Ballerina 12/24 that

has a very odd synth effect to the guitar, Answers, and the acoustical performance called sisters.

        I really enjoyed this album.

It is Vai’s most successful work but the only problem with is I believe there should be a few vocal tracks but it’s suppose to be an instrumental album so its OK.
