As I mentioned in a previous review, in high school one of my subjects was Chemistry, but unfortunately I found that I was not understanding some of the themes and concepts being taught. I also did not have very good Chemistry teachers to make things worse, so I realised that I needed both extra classes and to do

some extra reading if I wanted to pass the classes.

I found the book “Success in Chemistry” in my aunt’s bookshelf along with a few other chemistry books. Unlike the other Chemistry books though, “Success in Chemistry” was the book that had the most topics covered. It had everything from basic chemistry like “What is matter?” like moles ...

      • and how things like soap are made. Even though I did not find that the book was as simple as some of the other chemistry books and as easy to understand, I still prefered it because it went into detail and had lots of diagrams to illustrate. Also, at the end of each unit in the same Chemistry
text book, there was also a section which made you test yourself on what you had learned in the unit you had just completed, and also a part at the end of each unit that give the summary of what was taught.

I would recommend this book to people who are doing Chemistry at O Levels or CXC level.
