  • I remember, as a teen, staying up late and watching all those Proactive skin care infommercials that promised clear skin in two weeks, and even managed to order myself a set without my mother being any the wiser, and though I didn't have the discipline to use it as instructed at the time, without some support and help from my mother (who didn't see my skin issues as a real problem), I did believe the product worked
  • When my son started to experience problems with acne when he hit his teens, but seemed to embarassed to really talk to me about it and ask questions about what he can do to treat the problem, I knew I needed to step in and provide him with some solutions, but I didn't want to invest in the proactive, because I didn't like the idea of ordering that kind of product when it's not available in the stores for easy return or for easy refill
  • His skin is oily like mine, so I worried the moisturizer would be an issue and create more oil, but it really did exactly the opposite
  • I think we started noticing improvements within the first week

I remember, as a teen, staying up late and watching all those Proactive skin care infommercials that promised clear skin in two weeks, and even managed to order myself a set without my mother being any the wiser, and though I didn’t have the discipline to use it as instructed at the time, without some support and help from my mother (who didn’t see my skin issues as a real problem), I did believe the product worked. However, I’m always looking for an easier product to attain and afford. It’s a pain to have to order things from the television or internet, especially if it’s something you expect to keep using for extended lengths of time. When my son started to experience problems with acne when he hit his teens, but seemed to embarassed to really talk to me about it and ask

questions about what he can do to treat the problem, I knew I needed to step in and provide him with some solutions, but I didn’t want to invest in the proactive, because I didn’t like the idea of ordering that kind of product when it’s not available in the stores for easy return or for easy refill.

That’s when I foudn the acnefree clear skin system, which was cheaper than proactive, at about $16 if you can catch it on sale at your pharmacy, and it even says on the box that you can compare it to the effects of proactive, which I knew worked, at least for me at his age, and since he was experiecing the same kind of skin problems at the same age that I did, I was hoping this product would work for him as well. It’s ...

      • a three-step system you use every day, twice a day. First is the purifying cleanser, then the renewing toner, than the repairing lotion or moisturizer. His skin is oily like mine, so I worried the moisturizer would be an issue and create more oil, but it really did exactly the opposite. It dried up the oil while still leaving his skin looking nourished and soft, which seemed a big step in this kind of product because it’s hard to find that even medium, and it only takes about five minutes to do all the steps well, morning and night, so it’s not like he has to go out of his way to use it.

Luckily, he doesn’t have sensitive skin, so the benzyl peroxide in it didn’t bother him, though he said it stung a little bit when first applied. Otherwise, it felt

fine and he could feel his skin tightening up and the oil being removed. I think we started noticing improvements within the first week. He has severe acne on his forehead and a bit on his chin, and it was really cut in half by the end of the second week, with still at least another three weeks worth of product to go! Not a bad investment for the price, if you ask me. Five weeks worth of skin care for only $15 is nothing, especially when you’ve had to deal with acne and not just minor breakouts. You’ll find you’ll pay anything to make it better, and that’s what I’m willing to do for my son. He loves the product and I can tell he’s a lot more confident about keeping his hair out of his face now that the acne is really starting to clear up.
