  • It's all kinds of fun in any token deck that can support the triple manage requirement, which shouldn't be an issue if you're using the triple lands or enough land search
  • I love sacrifice effects that don't require taps or mana costs, and this guy fits really well
  • The new rules that removed the whole put damage on the stack, then sac trick make him a bit less interesting than he would have been, but even so, i still enjoy saccing stuff to him, and then flinging him or something cheesy like that

Hey guys, I’ve been using this card for a while now. It’s all kinds of fun in any token deck that can support the triple manage requirement, which shouldn’t be an issue if you’re using the triple lands or enough land search.

A 2/2 for 3 isn’t all that wonderful, but his ability to eat any other creature you have out for lunch,

and make himself bigger in the process is pretty sweet.

I love sacrifice effects that don’t require taps or mana costs, and this guy fits really well.

If you’re playing casual magic with friends, he’d make a decent sac outlet for things like Savra, or just use him with tokens to make him huge and slam someone in the face for a bunch ...

      • of damage.

This is a card that i’m never really unhappy to draw, unless I have no other creatures on the board that i want to dump to him.

The new rules that removed the whole “put damage on the stack, then sac” trick make him a bit less interesting than he would have been, but even so, i still enjoy saccing stuff

to him, and then flinging him or something cheesy like that.

        Enjoy.

        I’d rate this card about a 7.

If you aren’t packing sacable creatures, then obvious you don’t want to play this card, so the Scarland Thrinax is situational, but a bomb in the right deck.

In limited, obvious he’s a solid pick and you’ll want to play him if he’s in your color.
