  • I have tried a few products from Garnier’s line of Skin Renew skin products lately, and been moderately impressed
  • I originally tried this product line because I received some free samples, but I bought the Skin Renew Daily Regenerating Serum because I was out of daily moisturizer, and I had a coupon, which made the price, ($22), more reasonable
  • I decided to give this serum a try, because I needed a heavier-duty daily moisturizer because this winter is extremely dry, but my nighttime cream is just too heavy to wear during the day
  • It does not contain sunscreen, and it doesn’t provide some of the benefits it claims to, and it is not the best daily moisturizer that I have ever used, but it is decent

I have tried a few products from Garnier’s line of Skin Renew skin products lately, and been moderately impressed. I originally tried this product line because I received some free samples, but I bought the Skin Renew Daily Regenerating Serum because I was out of daily moisturizer, and I had a coupon, which made the price, ($22), more reasonable. I hate paying such high prices for drugstore brand cosmetics, but in Canada, we have no choice.

I decided to give this serum a try, because I needed a heavier-duty daily moisturizer because this winter is

extremely dry, but my nighttime cream is just too heavy to wear during the day. The package claims that this serum ‘boosts surface-cell renewal and reveals deeply radiant, smooth, even-toned skin,’ which of course is what most moisturizers claim, but I just wanted something for my dry skin, and something that I cold wear makeup on top. So I gave it a try the next morning. It is a light serum, and it absorbs quickly, with no irritation, and feels nice on my skin. I was able to wear makeup over top of it ...

      • with no issues, and it continued to make my face feel smooth and soft all day, without wearing off by mid-day. My face never felt tight or tingly at all. However, as far as evening out skin tone, as the product claims, there was none of that, but then again, no topical skin cream will do this. I did appreciate that this serum moisturizes very well, and deeply, and those effects last all day, but I can still put on makeup over top. Because it does not contain any sunscreen, I would only wear
this on non-sunny days, so for me this is a strictly winter-time moisturizer.

Garnier Nutritionist Skin Renew Daily Regenerating Serum is a very good daily moisturizer; it absorbs well, it provided enough moisture to smooth and soften even the driest skin, and it does not irritate even sensitive skin. It is pricey in Canada, but in the US, it is a good value. It does not contain sunscreen, and it doesn’t provide some of the benefits it claims to, and it is not the best daily moisturizer that I have ever used, but it is decent.
