CSI Miami is one of several series about crime scene investigators in different cities in the US. The one from Miami is maybe my least favourite, for a couple of reasons.

The chef of the CSI, Horatio Caine, seems a bit more theatrical than the other CSI members. The way he tilts his head and removes his glasses when

talking to people, his more or less stupid one-liners and the very dramatic way he split sentences in the wrong places all seem a bit weird. The other actors are less theatrical, and all very pretty. Maybe they are a bit too pretty to be forensic specialists, especially in the same lab. The series is filmed in very ...

      • strong colours; it can sometimes seem a bit too much. The water is too blue, the clouds too white and the trees too green.

The good: I like series that don’t have a lot of double and triple episodes. There are plot-lines that go through several episodes but you don’t have to know them to see just one.

They have a lot fancy electronic gadgets. I’m not sure if it is very realistic, but they’re quite fascinating. There hasn’t been much repetition in the crime solving, which is good. Part of the fun isn’t just who did it, but how they find out who did it, and there’s often new and weird ways to find evidence in CSI Miami.
