Bath & Body Works is known as a mecca of girly and fruity smelling bath goodies. However, in recent years they have been reshaping their image by adding a spa line, a men’s line, and most notably, the aromatherapy line. This line offers a variety of products including soaps, shower gels, moisturizers, cleansers and candles, among others. They are available in several formulas including Sleep, Energy, Sensuality, and Stress Relief.

Whether these formulas actually change your mood as their names claim to, the scents are decidedly more sophisticated than most of Bath & Body Works other offerings. Stress Relief, which is scented

with notes of eucalyptus and spearmint, is by far my favorite. This might at first seem a strange combination: does eucalyptus actually have a scent? Why would I want to smell like a stick of gum? But the result is a clean and soothing aroma that isn’t dominated by either note. While most shoppers at this retail chair are female, this scent is actually the perfect unisex scent. In fact, my fiance often uses my shower gel from this line.

Stress Relief Body lotion is creamy and a little goes a long way. The formula is strong enough to be used as a ...

      • hand cream, but it works well all over your body because it absorbs quickly and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth, not greasy. The moisturizing effects last hours longer than many lotions I’ve tried, as it contains natural soybean oil and glycerin to help your skin absorb it. The scent is also long lasting because it is infused with essential oils. You don’t need to apply any perfume! But does it reduce your stress levels? I’m not sure, but I think I feel a little calmer and more relaxed after applying it. Also, this product is not tested on animals so
you can have a clean conscience.

The packaging is of this lotion a plus: it comes in a tall, green glass bottle with a pump. It looks pretty sitting on your bathroom counter though you must take care not to drop it. However, this lotion is not cheap at $13 for a 6.5 fl. oz. bottle, so consider it an indulgence or give it as a gift. There is also a Lemongrass Cardamom formula in the Stress Relief line, but the Eucalyptus Spearmint formula is far superior. You might also consider trying other products from this line, especially the sugar body scrub.
