I ended up watching a 1980s slasher flick called The House on Sorority Row last night. I didn’t expect it to be any good.

But, it ended up being better than I thought it would be.

Basically, the film is the same as pretty much any other horror movie that takes place at

      a sorority.

You have a bunch of girls who pull a prank on their house mother, end up killing her and then end up being victims themselves as someone begins taking their revenge.

At first, the movie leads you to believe it is the house mother coming back from the dead but there’s ...

      • an unforeseen twist at the end.

Of course, the movie does have flaws in it too.

Supposedly, they are on sorority row but they are also apparently the only house for miles since nobody hears the gunshots or the screams.

And, the killer must be carrying cleaning supplies since there is never any

        blood left behind.

I wasn’t impressed with the ending.

They just end it without showing what happens.

The movie wasn’t good enough for an ending like that to work so I was left unimpressed.

Overall though, it was an OK way to spend 90 minutes and I would recommend it if you are looking for a somewhat mild thriller.
