I’m not a big makeup wearer even though I have developed quite a collection. My favorite product that I do wear often is mascara. I’m a huge mascara fan. I love to try out new brands and items. For Christmas my boyfriend was nice enough to have gotten me a Sephora Deluxe mascara sampler gift box. This sampler comes with ten different mascaras by different brands in a miniature size. Among the mascaras that came in the box was Korres Abyssinia Oil mascara. I’ve been using this mascara since the first week of December and the following are my pros and

      cons to this product.

I’ll start off with the pros to this Korres mascara first. What I liked about this mascara was that it was definitely an easy product to find since it’s available at Sephora, ULTA and any place that sells Korres products usually. I liked that it didn’t clump, or very little of it from time to time. It also didn’t smear or smudge easily. What I really liked about Korres Abyssinia Oil mascara was that it didn’t flake, which is extremely important to me as a contact lens wearer. There’s nothing more irritating than getting mascara debris trapped underneath ...

      • my contact lenses. I also liked the brush, it was slender which made it very easy to handle and apply the mascara even at the tightest corner without making a mess around my eyes. The bristles did a good job of separating my lashes and keeping the curl. I found that it lasted all day too. I didn’t have to reapply or touch for an entire day.

There were also some cons to Korres Abyssinia Oil mascara. What was sorely lacking with this mascara was that it did absolutely nothing in terms of volumizing and adding lengthen to my lashes. Those

two things are usually the key details that women look for in a mascara. It also wasn’t waterproof and cost $20 for a regular tube. In all honesty, it’s really not worth $20 even though $20 really isn’t that much compared to other higher end brands. Still, $20 isn’t worth spending on a mascara that doesn’t do the essentials like volumize and lengthen. If you’re looking for a good every day mascara, this would be it but still not worth $20 when you get something of the same quality for much less. I don’t plan on purchasing this mascara in the future.
