  • Avoid talking with single male guys, or group of men who look uneducated type cause it could invite bad business, not necessarily but just that it's a safe bet instead with people travelling with family, or educated people

Hey, this review is mainly for you people from outside India, who are coming to India for vacations and travelling. In India, Indian Railways is the most economical and comfortable way to travel long distances without coughing up large money for airlines. Anyways the coverage of Airline services are nowhere compared to that of Railways.

You should travel through trains at least one, to get a good glimpse of Indian people and the countryside. Indian railways are generally very secure, apart from some rare

incidents happenings in railways that travel through the state of Bihar (no offence).

Although travelling in groups is best, you should take care not to accept eatables from strangers. Keep a tight hold on ur purses and wallets, cause India is notorious for Pickpocketeers, especially in the Bigger cities.

For travelling, try making your arrangements in advance, like booking your reservation tickets from a certified, and large booking centre or Travelling agency. The amount is printed on the tickets, and the ticket agent usually ...

      • puts a commission of about 20-100 rupees depending on ur ticket.

In normal non-A/C compartments, there is rush in days and you’d usually have to share ur seats with other regular commuters who commute using the train daily. But you can get ur seat, clear for sleeping in night, its a full stretch small bed with minimal cushioning but gets the purpose done.

If you prefer more privacy, and comfort of A/C(which is quite good, since India is a tropical country and summers are

specially very hot), you would have to shell more than double the price of simple reservation. That’s not much though, about 800 rupees(abt $18) for a 500Km trip.

Avoid talking with single male guys, or group of men who look uneducated type cause it could invite bad business, not necessarily but just that it\’s a safe bet instead with people travelling with family, or educated people. Since exchange of culture knowledge is also a integral part of travelling.

Hope you enjoyed this short review on Indian Railway, thanks and bye.

You can get reservation for any station from anywhere on IRCTC. You can also get it from the reservation counter of the Indian Railways, or contact an authorized seller. For booking in Thirupathi temple, you will have to reach there and make payment for VIP pass, or be in the queue.
