Sardinia
  • In my experience going there by ferry gives you the possibility to enjoy your trip much more than arriving directly by plane
  • I prefer the second option because gives you the possibility to spend a night out - the ferry has really good opportunity to have fun
  • I like the line Livorno - Olbia cause it gives the possibility to start your cruise from Livorno (Tuscany) but you will arrive in Olbia, in the north side of the Island

Sardinia and Corsica are two lovely islands in the Mediterranean sea. In my experience going there by ferry gives you the possibility to enjoy your trip much more than arriving directly by plane.

A really good thing is that it is possible to catch the ferry in Livorno, 20 Km. from Pisa and 100Km from Florence, giving you the possibility to visit some

more Italy (and a really nice spot which is Tuscany).

I found Moby a really good ferry. It gives you the possibility to reach Sardinia from Livorno in few hours (the speedy boat) or during the night. I prefer the second option because gives you the possibility to spend a night out - the ferry has really good opportunity to have fun :) ...

      • without waste your precious days in Italy.

The boat is the same that Moby uses for longer cruises so it comes with all the good quality bar and shops.

I like the line Livorno - Olbia cause it gives the possibility to start your cruise from Livorno (Tuscany) but you will arrive in Olbia, in the north side of the Island. If you

want to reach Cagliari you will need a long train trip. So if you haven’t the car with you, you might choose to leave from Civitavecchia (near Rome), and hit directly Cagliari.

In both way I strongly suggest to reach this lovely island by boat insted of by plane just because gives you a better perception of your travel and the beauty you are going to visit.
