More and more people are buying high definition television in this time of gadget and technology. Who wouldn’t want watching in a high resolution TV, with great sound, and big screen? We had been planning to buy an HDTV for a very long time now and finally on March of last year,we made the decision. Making the decision was not very easy. First of all there are a lot of brands offering different kinds of features and styles. At first, the Sony Bravia series was the apple of my eye. Sony is one of our most trusted and favorite brands. However, every time I look at one of the Samsung TV displays, I just can’t help but admire the sleek design. There are other brands like DeVant, Sanyo, and local brands like TCL and the prices

were lower compared to the top two brands. In the end, we have decided to choose the best television that suits our lifestyle and budget -Samsung. It was an arduous but enjoyable task.

Narrowing the choice to Samsung was a great decision but the choosing didn’t stop there. Samsung offers different series. We were battling whether we should buy Series 4 or Series 5 and we ended up buying the first one because of the price and its functionality. 32″ inch was the best size for us because it was not too small but large enough for our spatially challenge room. The difference of price between the two was almost Php10000 at that time. Series 4 is not fully HD but with the help of an HDMI cable, it can play a 1080P resolution. On ...

      • the other hand, Series 5 can play full HD but with the price difference, we really don’t want it that much.

We have it wall-mounted and we have been using it for over 9 months now. We didn’t have any problems since we bought it. Our movie and gaming experience has been taken to the next level. The resolution is amazing and even without the home theater, the sound did not disappoint us. Our television before, was a standard 14″ Sanyo television (I also wrote a review for this), and the upgrade was just simply breath-taking. It is very hard to appreciate the graphics of games like Gears of War or Resident Evil 5 on a standard television so when we had our HDTV, we can’t just stop ranting about how great our TV was.

        In terms of

watching regular cable shows, we were not able to experience it because we don’t have time to watch TV so we don’t have cable subscription. In order to watch local channels, I believe you need to program it and we just didn’t bother. With the HDMI calbe, we are able to connect our PS3, Xbox 360, and laptop which allow us to enjoy different next-gen console game and hundreds of old and new movies.

I’m really happy on the decision we have made, we got the TV for a much lower price compared to other appliance store and the series we have chosen is just perfect for us. If you are looking for an HDTV that you will use for games and movies and you don’t want to lose your shirt, this is the best TV for you.
