  • BUT, I am able to review this product because I bought it for my husband and my youngest son
  • My husband pretty much has a buzz cut and my youngest son only has some length in the bangs and a bit in the sides, but his hair is very thick and coarse, like his fathers, and they both experience problems with dandruff
  • I told my husband we needed to treat his problem more agressively when I was massaging his head and temples one night while watching tv and looked down to see a mass of white flakes all over the pillow he was resting on
  • It was less expensive than those other grocery-store brand products, at only $3 a bottle, and I really enjoyed that part of it, because we've tried salon shampoos that were supposed to treat dandruff, spent $15 on a bottle only to discover it doesn't do anything more than a $.99 bottle of suave would do for them
  • I've also noticed that, a week after the first use, it just kept getting nicer

Sometimes I wish I had a need for a product like this, something to control dandruff, because then that would mean that I didn’t have fine and oily hair that I have to wash sometimes twice a day to keep a handle on it. I can never use conditioners, so the tips of my hair are constantly frizzy, and I can never use styling gels and such because it weighs my very light and oily hair down and makes it look ten times more oily. So I’m stuck with flat and lifeless hair essentially. BUT, I am able to review this product because I bought it for my husband and my youngest son. Both of them have very thick heads of hair, though they both keep them trimmed fairly short. My husband pretty much has a buzz cut and my youngest son only has some length in the bangs and a bit in the sides, but his hair is very thick and coarse, like his fathers, and they both

experience problems with dandruff. I told my husband we needed to treat his problem more agressively when I was massaging his head and temples one night while watching tv and looked down to see a mass of white flakes all over the pillow he was resting on. Not exactly a sight to inspire romantic feelings, if you catch my drift and it’s just… well… ewww if you ask me.

I’ve ordered avon products for more than twenty years, and have pretty much always loved their bath and body products (more so than their make-up products), and have had a lot of success finding all the right products for me. I order from them pretty much on a bi-monthly basis, and they make a lot of money off of me, let me tell you. We’ve tried, for my husband and son, a variety of different shampoos including pert and head and shoulders which is supposed to control dandruff much better than any of the basic (and cheaper shampoos) on the ...

      • market, but these just weren’t doing the job. I ordered ADVANCE TECHNIQUES 2-in-1 Anti-Dandruff Shampoo & Conditioner in the hopes that this would be the one that does what we needed it to do. It was less expensive than those other grocery-store brand products, at only $3 a bottle, and I really enjoyed that part of it, because we’ve tried salon shampoos that were supposed to treat dandruff, spent $15 on a bottle only to discover it doesn’t do anything more than a $.99 bottle of suave would do for them.

My husband took a shower and washed his hair with this shampoo, and that very night I gave him a little head massage to discover, to my pleasant surprise, that there were no flakes to be found. I certainly wasn’t expecting the shampoo to work as quickly and as effecitvely as this one did, but I don’t suppose I should’ve been all that shocked given the success I’ve found using other avon bath and body products. Because it’s

so affordable, we’ll definitely be using this product again. It’s got the conditioner in it as well, and isn’t just a shampoo (like the pert 2 in 1 products which I personally love), so their coarse hair feels much finer afterwards. I’ve also noticed that, a week after the first use, it just kept getting nicer. The flakes were pretty much gone from the very first use on, and I swear by this product as a great dandruff control product and far more affordable than pretty much anything else you’ll likely to find, especially considering the results. It also smells really nice. Not so girly that it’s going to deter the men in my life from using it, but not so masculine that a woman wouldn’t want to use it either. My husband loves this shampoo, and before the bottle is halfway gone, he’s already on me to order another. If avon actually opened a physical store in the area, he’d be their first customer for this product alone. Way to go avon!
