  • I did a review not too long ago about using a nail polish remover in a pen, which was easy to travel with, convenient in size and portability and could correct any messy spots you might not have noticed when you were painting your nails
  • They would bleed on occassion too which was never a pleasure to deal with OR look at, and I needed some serious help treating the problem
  • Regular lotions don't work, and though I've found some cuticle creams that work, they don't exactly come in small pocket-size containers, and I don't want to cart that stuff to work with me every day for those re-application moments I know are inevitable
  • I noticed my cuticles improve in appearance immediately, though they did dry back up in the middle of the day
  • It doesn't last very long, because it's so small, and I suppose that's a drawback to the travel size, and that might not make the price worth it to most customers, but because my cuticles have given me such grief, I think it's a worthy investment

I did a review not too long ago about using a nail polish remover in a pen, which was easy to travel with, convenient in size and portability and could correct any messy spots you might not have noticed when you were painting your nails. I took this pen with me when I went to Vegas for a week for touchups on my nail polish without having to carry my nail polish AND a bottle of polish remover. I hardly even knew I had the pen with me. Since then I’ve always been looking for other products that had this sort of travel-convenient quality about it, and could fit easily in my teeny tiny make-up bag. And, since I started working at a shoe store about a year and a half ago, and we have to clean all the tissue paper the shoes come wrapped in out of the boxes, my cuticles have been an ever-lovin nightmare to deal with. They get so cracked and dry and white and flakey looking that it’s actually an embarassment to go out

in public with my hands in this condition. So, I was happy to find a NAIL EXPERTS Cuticle Oil Pen with Lavender, the same size as my nail polish remover pen, and I knew it would be far more convenient and easier to deal with than the bottles of lotion that I was constantly carrying and having to massage specifically into my cuticles. My cuticles would get so dry and cracked that they were painful, and not JUST embarassing. They would bleed on occassion too which was never a pleasure to deal with OR look at, and I needed some serious help treating the problem. Regular lotions don’t work, and though I’ve found some cuticle creams that work, they don’t exactly come in small pocket-size containers, and I don’t want to cart that stuff to work with me every day for those re-application moments I know are inevitable. This pen was the perfect solution.

It was only $6 and is supposed to condition and moisturize the cuticles. There’s aloe in it, and Vitamin E and other botanical extracts,

      • and I always prefer products with natural elements in them verses products completely lab created. Avon has gotten really good lately about expanding their product line and working with more natural ingredients, so that was already a huge plus to this product, aside from its convenient size. I’m generally pretty irritated by floral scents but, luckily, lavender is one of the few scents I can stand and actually thoroughly enjoy, and the smell was strong enough to enjoy but weak enough that it wasn’t overpowering at all. The application of this product is particularly easy, and not messy at all. The pen tip looks just like a marker and you just rub it over your cuticle. You don’t even need to use your finger to rub it in further, because the applicator tip does the job well enough.

I noticed my cuticles improve in appearance immediately, though they did dry back up in the middle of the day. However, because of the convenient packaging, I carried it around with me and was able to reapply it easily, even at

work. Just take a minute or two in the breakroom to apply and I’m good to go. After about a week or so, I didn’t even have to reapply it mid-day like I did in the beginning, except on days when we have a lot of shoes to clean the tissue paper out of and my hands are excessively dry in comparison to normal days. this is a great product and another plus in a long line of avon products I love. The smell is fantastic and it works! It would be nice if they made a non-scented version for those who have an aversion to fragrance of any kind, or super sensitive skin that acts up when fragrance in products is applied, but otherwise, I really can’t see a whole lot wrong with this product. It doesn’t last very long, because it’s so small, and I suppose that’s a drawback to the travel size, and that might not make the price worth it to most customers, but because my cuticles have given me such grief, I think it’s a worthy investment.
