  • These smoky ham effect slices are absolutely delicious and I wish I had discovered them years ago
  • I gave up meat for ethical reasons, not because of the taste, and I do sometimes miss the intensity of taste that you get with meat such as ham, so I was impressed that the flavour of these Quorn slices had impersonated that deep flavour of ham somewhat
  • I love cheese but get fed up of cheese sandwiches every day for lunch at work so I will definitely add these into my diet from now on
  • For you meat eaters, you should give these a try as they are high in protein like meat but without the fat content and I know of many meat eaters who have incorporated Quorn products into their diet and enjoy them

I had not had a ham sandwich for about twenty five years before trying these ‘vegetarian ham’ slices from the Quorn brand recently. I saw them in Tesco at the pretty low price of £1.

      20 for about eight slices.

I had a craving for a ham sandwich after all these years as I used to love them, without having to involve any little piggies at all.

      These

smoky ham effect slices are absolutely delicious and I wish I had discovered them years ago.

Each slice has the look and texture of ham (or maybe it is more similar to Spam actually) but without any fat and they are an artificially round shape.

All I have done is put two slices between two pieces of buttered bread to make simple sandwiches but they have been really delicious.

If you are counting the calories these slices are also ideal as two slices amounts to only 30 calories which is pretty negligible!
