Trigun Episode 3 begins with Meryl and Milly in Warrens City, still looking for Vash the Stampede, who is also in the city looking for a renowned gunsmith named Frank Marlon. He runs into the town drunk and befriends him; he finds out that the drunk is Frank Marlon and why he always drinks. Meanwhile, a band of robber decides to hold up the bank while their leader

claims he is Vash the Stampede.

This episode was very funny. It had plenty of humor and good laughs. It also had an interesting look at why people drink and an interesting theme about apathy and not doing something when you can. I liked the morality of this episode; it was very enjoyable and interesting.

This was another great episode of Trigun. Everything fit together well, the comedy,

      • the drama and the excellent voice acting. I really enjoyed this episode as it teaches a lesson while entertaining the audience at the same time. This blend of storytelling, animation and good characters are what make Trigun an excellent anime and a great show in general even if you don’t like anime. I highly recommend it to older fans, as it has stronger language than other animes.
It’s a terrific show and it just gets better as it goes along.

Trigun was broadcast on Adult Swim from April 4, 1998 – September 30, 1998. Trigun is available on DVD from Geneon Entertainment, but since they stopped distributing DVDs in 2007, it’s currently out of print and getting harder to find, but it’s in stock on DVD and is called Trigun Remix and is available on DVD at RightStuf.com.
