      TRUSTWORTHY

      all reviews
This movie begins with sequences of various international treasures being stolen by a thief leaving behind cards naming himself “The Tornado”. The Shroud of Turin, Japan’s Imperial Sword, Britain’s Magna Carter, and France’s treasured Pink Panther diamond are among the casualties. Inspector Jacques Clouseau is asked to head the international team of detectives gathered to search for the country’s missing treasures, nicknamed the “Dream Team”.

The bumbling and sometimes clueless Inspector Clouseau

appears to be ten steps behind the thieving criminal. One incident with the Pope leaves the Dream Team extremely embarrassed and ready to rid themselves of Clouseau.

Instead, they find the Tornado has killed himself, because he can no longer find any other conquests. Clouseau is not entirely convinced of his guilt, despite the fact that the other detectives believe the case is closed.

      • Closeau must keep his wits about him to prove himself once again one of the best detectives in the world.

I have never seen the first movie, but the second one is definitely full of laughs.

A great ensemble cast performance from each character can be expected. Steve Martin’s French accent is a little much at times, but his acting is superb.

The pacing is great, and the pratfalls are hilarious. Jean

Reno and Emily Mortimer are at their best as Clouseau’s support staff; both certainly hold their own under Closeau’s intense absurdity.

The other supporting Dream Team detectives are equally entertaining. Vicenzo, Pepperidge, Kenji, and Sonia are respectively played by Andy Garcia, Alfred Molina, Yuki Matsuzaki, and Aishwarya Rai.

Though unclear at times whether Clouseau can even function properly, he must do what he does best – save his nation’s prized treasure, the Pink Panther.
