  • After much research I decided on a french manufactured board, from the company Rossignol
  • I decided to get the recommend cobra V1 bindings to go with it, an excellent choice I was later to find out
  • My first day on the mountain, my instructor complimented me on my choice of equipment, although he said it was a bit narrow for a beginner but not an issue as such
  • The board has great response, is very light and the edges sliced through the icy patches without any problem

I am an avid skier and this year decided it was time to enjoy new challenges and try out what snowboarding was about.

With the rental prices at most resorts being quite steep I quickly decided to buy my own board and bindings. I was looking for a snowboard that would be reasonably easy to learn on, without having a board that becomes obsolete after a couple of weeks

riding. After much research I decided on a french manufactured board, from the company Rossignol.

The Scope is an directional all mountain board with medium to hard flex. I decided to get the recommend cobra V1 bindings to go with it, an excellent choice I was later to find out.

      • was a bit narrow for a beginner but not an issue as such. After a brief warmup I hit the slopes and had a great time on this remarkable board. The board has great response, is very light and the edges sliced through the icy patches without any problem. I was comfortably doing turns on both edges in a couple of hours and felt the board to be a
        natural extension of my body.

After several weeks of intens riding, I still love this board, I constantly get compliments on the graphics on the board, and feel the board to grow with me as my skills improve. I am sure I will use this board for years to come. The skis are now gathering dust, and I cant wait to back out tomorrow.

        PROS: - Price - Looks - Weight - Versatility

        CONS: - None!
