  • One thing I noticed about this movie and maybe I remembered it from decades ago, I don't know, but I absolutely knew that Holmes had taken the diamond necklace from the owner very early on in the story
  • I'd like to say I'm just sharp and saw it or deduced it, but like I said, I think it was actually recall and that this has always been one of the Holmes tales that I've liked the best
  • I got through this movie, and I like that most of the action is on a train

When I was younger, I used to watch Sherlock Holmes a lot. I loved these movies, and they were on all the time. Then years passed and I’ve only seen it a few times. Oddly, I don’t seem to enjoy these mysteries as I once did, and I’m really not sure why. Recently, a cable network a bunch these detective stories back to back. I saw some but was bored by others and turned them off. This movie,

Sherlock HolmesTerror By Night, is one of the ones I watched and got through without changing the channel.

Sherlock HolmesTerror By Night stars Basil Rathbone as Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce as Doctor Watson, his assistant. For me, Rathbone is the only Holmes. I just can’t get through very many of the other incarnations.

The premise behind Sherlock HolmesTerror By Night is that the Star of Rhodesia, a huge diamond necklace, is being transported by train and the bad guys want ...

      • to steal it. Naturally, we have a lot of good guys, bad guys, and bad guys pretending to be good guys. It’s all status quo.

it was actually recall and that this has always been one of the Holmes tales that I’ve liked the best.

I also believe that what bugs me a lot about the Holmes movies is that Watson is so bumbling and that annoys me. I suppose he’s the perfect fodder for the always correct Holmes, but something about it disturbs me.

I got through this movie, and I like that most of the action is on a train. Maybe that makes it all easier to follow.
