  • The Denon PMA 2000 is truly an amazing amplifier, unfortunately quality comes with a price, this particular model costed me around 1000 euro when I bought it a few years ago
  • The problem is easily solvable by not placing it where it is bound to catch a lot of dust, also do not place anything on top of it, not books, nor cd players or anything of that sort
  • If you want a serious amplifier then this is definitely worth the money it costs, not very affordable but if you want something serious to pumpo up your music then this is the way to go

The Denon PMA 2000 is truly an amazing amplifier, unfortunately quality comes with a price, this particular model costed me around 1000 euro when I bought it a few years ago. It has enough inputs to be able to attach a cd player, 2 tape players, radio, AUX, and Vinyl.

The volume, given you have suitable speakers (and a cd with good audio quality) can get incredibly loud without much loss of quality.

      You can easily

choose which input device to use with a click of a button, and justa as easily raise the volume and activate the ‘loudness’ function.

One factor which worries me a bit though is the fact that at 3/4 of maximum volume, (with loudness and full bass and treble even below 1/2 maximum volume) the amplifier tends to really overheat till the metal casing becomes incredibly hot.

The problem is easily solvable by not placing it where ...

      • it is bound to catch a lot of dust, also do not place anything on top of it, not books, nor cd players or anything of that sort.

The amp needs to have a lot of breething room so it doesn’t over heat right away.

I myself made a specially designed water cooling device to keep it from heating at all.

The amplifier has a protection device istalled in it so if by anychance it does

begin to overheat the amplifier will turn-off all by itself before any damage can come to it.

It happened to me a few times and the amplifier still works just as well as it did when it came out of the box.

If you want a serious amplifier then this is definitely worth the money it costs, not very affordable but if you want something serious to pumpo up your music then this is the way to go.
