  • In his alternate mode, he is a lockheed SR-71 Blackbird jet, which in real life can travel over the speed of 2000 miles per hour, so I think it's pretty cool, but in his robot mode, he is a cranky old robot with a bad back
  • But I don't like the fact that the combined version has little leg articulation and that the actual part where you combine them, takes a long time if your trying to be careful

Jetfire is one of the new robots that appeared in the sequal to the movie TRANSFORMERS(2007). In his alternate mode, he is a lockheed SR-71 Blackbird jet, which in real life can travel over the speed of 2000 miles per hour, so I think it’s pretty cool, but in his robot mode, he is a cranky old robot with a bad back. This makes me miss the young Australian Jetfire or Skyfire before the movie came out. His character bio reads -

Jetfire grew tired of war a long time ago. The reckless ambition of the Decepticons and the senseless violence of their war sickened him, and so he left Cybertrons to go

into hiding. Jetfire grew tired of war a long time ago. The reckless ambition of the Decepticons, and the senseless violence of their war sickened him, and so he left Cybertron to go into hiding. Prepare for battle with this Autobot warrior by your side. In robot mode, this mighty ally features electronic speech and light-up eyes and chest that are sure to discourage enemy attackers. This good guy is ready to take on Decepticon forces once and for all. Mech Alive gearing lets you recreate some of your favorite movie scenes.

Age range: 5 years and up Awesome robot-to-vehicle figure Features electronic speech, light-up eyes and chest Mech Alive gearing reveals moving armor ...

      • panels and internal gears Jet combat and automatic conversion sounds in SR-71 Blackbird jet mode Requires 2 AA batteries (included)

Now the age range states 5 and up, but I doubt a 5 year old could transform this thing. The transformation is very long and tedious, and some panels always keep falling off, while others are just stuck there. You always feel like you are going to break the figure which is not good because usually you always feel that you have to check for any damage, which takes up more of your time. And when you finally get through it all, you see the top of a beautiful jet and the bottom

of a kibble loaded robot. However, I do like the fact that you can combine him with the leader class Optimus Prime (sold separately) Just like in the movie where Jetfire sacrafices his life to give Prime more power. But I don’t like the fact that the combined version has little leg articulation and that the actual part where you combine them, takes a long time if your trying to be careful. Jetfire also comes with 3 different sounds when you push the 3 buttons which are very well concealed, so I do like that.

        My final rating- Robot mode - 9/10 Alt mode - 9/10 Transformation - 3/10 Overall rating - 7/10

Thank you, I hope this helps.
