Based on their revered Too Faced Lash Injection formula, the Too Faced Lash Injection Pinpoint is a step up from its already wonderful original mascara. This new and improved mascara boasts “exclusive 3D polymers” to individually erect, elongate, water proof, and add volume to individual lashes.

When you open up a new tube, the first difference from its original mascara that you will observe is a noticeably smaller applicator. The smaller brush retains the tiny bristles that I adored about its original applicator, but compared to the older brush, it is much smaller. The tiny bristles enable its user to not only curl and define their lashes just like its contemporary, but reach difficult to reach lashes at the

edges of one’s eyes. Also, its size is perfect for defining your bottom lashes.

Once applying the mascara on, I noticed the individual separating of each of my lashes. The new brush was easier to maneuver, so that I can get every single lash. I saw my lashes lift and lengthen. It’s a trade off from its original mascara which added greater volume but little length. This new formula enables my lashes to lengthen a considerable amount more than the first Too Faced Lash Injection mascara, but the volume was not as impressive. However, it did not clump just like the old formula, which is another characteristic that I adore in mascara.

      Another new characteristic that ...

      • this new formula claims is that it is waterproof. I would say that it leans more towards water resistant than water proof. It remains on my lashes mostly without smudging, but the more humid or longer the day I’ve had, the more likely I will get raccoon eyes at the day’s end. However, to say that I get raccoon eyes would be an exaggeration. It will lightly smear on my bottom lid, but the result is not too bad. If you should over apply the mascara, you may experience more smudging, though. When I wash the mascara off, I notice that it washes off in tiny little fibers, which I suppose are the 3D polymers
        described on the package.

Although I would rate this mascara as an overall 9, the following lists the ratings I would give for different aspects of this product:

        Volumizing - 8 Lengthening - 9 Water Resistance - 7 Clump Resistance - 8 Maneuverability of Applicator – 10

This new version of the Too Faced Lash Injection is definitely a step up from its already great original formula. The only trade-up is whether or not you prefer lengthening to volumizing and the price. The original formula is $19.50 for a 0.45 oz tube at Sephora, whereas the Pinpoint Injection is the same price for a 0.27 oz tube. If your preference leans towards lengthening, the Pinpoint Injection is would be a splurge to consider.
